    Should they sharpen sword

It may have gone outside of HOW the Bible is heard by many but I don't think it's gone outside of Jesus.....and isn't Jesus the only eyewitness of God?.....and doesn't the voice on the mountain tell us who to listen to....even while Moses and Elijah are present? The thought of even considering...

The word of God is Jesus....confuse it with the text of Hebrew history and it only reveals one's inability to think well!

    Should they sharpen sword

I ask myself, would Jesus have sanctioned Elijah's slaughter? I would have to say no. God who does not change; Jesus who is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow is the litmus test I use to get clarity on these accounts of violence, tacitly or overtly being sanctioned by God. Satan endeavours...

    Should they sharpen sword

Elijah didn't create the fire. It was God who honoured his faith by sending the fire to consume the sacrifice. However, the slaughter of the prophets of Baal was the result of Elijah's presumption. Elijah went too far engaging the slaughter.

    Should they sharpen sword

There are accounts we read about in the bible and assume them to be God sanctioned. I think that assumption is in error. For instance, we have Elijah, one of the greatest prophets who turned Israel from the worship of Baal back to God yet after that spectacular fire from heaven he went and...

Babylon – The Great City - Jerusalem -Then and Today!

I think Babylon is that seductive element (wine ie, teachings) which peddles the image of righteousness yet is anything but. We can apply it to secular systems as well as religious. We can apply it to oppressive Cities or Countries in many parts of the World. Revelation 11:8 uses the metaphor...

    Should they sharpen sword

Do you think he meant that by selling their garment to buy a sword meant they were to go garment-less, in other words, no clothes aka as naked? I'm sure you wouldn't draw that conclusion Deb. So we must ask, did he mean a bladed weapon with which to harm people with? What do you think? ...and...

    Should they sharpen sword

I think they died of a heart attack from being found out. Their carefully crafted pious cover failed; it was too much for them. When Jesus appears with billions of angels in the sky, many many folk will experience the same thing....particularly the 'religious' Revelation 6:15-17 describes a...

I am sorry Behold, that you cannot tell the difference between worshiping the Bible and worshiping Jesus.

    Should they sharpen sword

I think the justifications Christians use for violence is because they believe God kills. They use many examples foremost of which is the story of the Flood and the account of Sodom and Gomorrah. They have not seen how Jesus counter balances or should I say nullifies this view by the reality of...

    Bible reading plans

Ye search the scriptures because in them you think you have eternal life but they testify of me yet you will not come to me to have life. …..Jesus It is as easy to make an idol of the bible as it is a car or a job or a house or money. In the above quote Jesus not only spoke to the ‘religious’...

My agnostic friend says: "I don't need it." - How would you respond?

I only follow Jesus Matthias. He has captured my imagination and secured my allegiance. I have learnt that those who KNOW Jesus reveal it by their talk and behaviour. Conversely, those who say they know him but don’t, reveal it in the subject matter they glorify.

My agnostic friend says: "I don't need it." - How would you respond?

I follow Jesus out of admiration and have come to the conclusion that if you do not you have a crippled view.

Woke woman "pastor" mocks Jesus with unbelievable words

Our/ my carnal nature thrives on highlighting the shortcomings of others. I want to distance myself from both hearing and speaking blame....whatever form it comes in. I have learned that when I engage it, it steals my joy. When I do not engage it, a spring in my emotional step is present and my...

Woke woman "pastor" mocks Jesus with unbelievable words

It is a morphing term. What it originally set out to mean is in the shadows and has come to mean far more than it set out to mean. It primarily vilify's the left....but even that is not all encompassing. Did you know it was the ascendancy of the right wing that brought Hitler to power?
