Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

Jesus (as Messiah) began his ministry of redemption AFTER THE 69TH WEEK. He was revealed by John the Baptist as Messiah After the 7 and 62 weeks. Jn 1 29 The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is He on behalf of whom...

Prepare the Way for My People

Amen. And here we are..., Heb 12 18 For you have not come [as did the Israelites in the wilderness] to a mountain that can be touched and to a blazing fire, and to gloom and darkness and a raging windstorm, 19 and to the blast of a trumpet and a sound of words [such that] those who heard it...

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

Yes, I would say the "wrath to this people" never really stopped. It been one long great tribulation for them since 70AD.

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

So you believe Jesus overlooked the events of AD 70 and was prophesying of another more distant repeat event.?

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

Lk 21 5 As some were talking about the temple, that it was decorated with beautiful stones and consecrated offerings [of magnificent gifts of gold which were displayed on the walls and hung in the porticoes], He said, 6 “As for all these things which you see, the time will come when there will...

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

Thats rather vague , like what? The Holy Spirit has been poured out on those Jews who believed, Jesus must have done a comprehensive job of making them squeaky clean by removing their sins and iniquities and transgressions etc. All one has to do is believe and repent and appropriate what has...

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

Everlasting righteousness is found on the NHNE because God tabernacles with redeemed man there. Its all about his righteousness. Phill 3 9 and may be found in Him [believing and relying on Him], not having any righteousness of my own derived from [my obedience to] the Law and its rituals, but...

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

The 70 weeks must be over then. Jesus was recognized as the Messiah at his baptism by his forerunner. This is clearly stated to take place AFTER 69 weeks have passed. 24 “Seventy weeks [of years, or 490 years] have been decreed for your people and for your holy city (Jerusalem), to finish the...

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

483 years. Decrees were given in Ezra and Nehemiah and the Israelites clearly returned to rebuild lol. Ezra returned in 457BC to restore proper worship. 483 years later brings you to 26 AD, the year Jesus was baptized and was recognized as the long-awaited Messiah. (Remember Dan 9:25, 69 weeks...

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

What scripture suggests that the rebuilding takes 483 years.? As far as I can tell the decree is given to the exiles to return and rebuild, and then to expect Messiah after 7 and 62 weeks. The Prophets of that restoration period attest to this.

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

The books of Ezra and Nehemiah was very good news for those Babylonian exiles. This enabled them to return home to await the coming of the voice of one crying out in the Judean wilderness and the revealing of their Messiah. See Malachi.

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

Dan 9:25 makes clear that the 483 are past in relation to Jesus first coming to fulfill v 24 Seventy Weeks and the Messiah 24 “Seventy weeks [of years, or 490 years] have been decreed for your people and for your holy city (Jerusalem), to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to...

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

Good question. All 6points are accomplished by the cross of Jesus in the midst of the final week. He took my iniquity , sin , transgressions upon himself and gave to me his everlasting righteousness. The holy Spirit then came upon the disciples to confirm the new cov for the second half of the...

False Doctrine of the "Secret Rapture".

Because of the seventy years of captivity for not finding his rest. In the 70 weeks, they find the eternal rest through the shedding of the blood of the Lord Jesus, the Messiah and Anointed one of Dan 9, and his Atonement for our sin, that lead to the ripe fruits of his everlasting...

Teachings By The Asps That Hide Here

Would you like to furnish us as to how Jesus and his apostles teach premill through their second coming discourses, by quoting their scriptures? Would you like...

Daniel 9:27 the covenant to be confirmed

Amen. The Messiah of Dan 9 confirms a new covenant, as per Jesus own teaching of a new and living way through his own blood. Hence, we have ourselves an end to sin and iniquity and transgression and the everlasting fruits of righteousness that come with this. Glory be to God in the name of the...

Irrefutable biblical proof that death is abolished at the second coming

jeffweeder said: LK 20 34 Jesus said to them, “The sons of this [world and present] age marry and [the women] are given in marriage; 35 but those who are considered worthy to gain that [other world and that future] age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage...

Irrefutable biblical proof that death is abolished at the second coming

He certainly does. What he doesnt seem to understand is Lazaras resurrection was not a resurrection to glory like Jesus Glorious bodily resurrection. Laz has to wait for this the LAST day, when Jesus comes a second time, as do all the dead in Christ. Thats the meaning of Jesus being the first...
