Why would a creator who was real and evident need to be believed in?

Large groups of people under the direction of a belief become a weapon when motivated for converting everyone. They blindly become like locusts consuming everything around them to achieve their belief at all costs.

How does that Bible verse relate to the current discussion? I am not Job. This is how beliefs narrow a person's views of others, and how the fire got started. We don't live in a universe made for believing. We live in a universe that wants us to know.
