How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!!!

Yes. Confession is ONE aspect of the salvation process, but just one. The Ethiopian eunuch did it in Acts 8, but after he confessed his belief, he was immediately baptized by Philip. So, what are all the necessary steps? 1. Belief/faith 2. Confession of belief 3. Repentance (Acts 2:38) 4...

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!!!

You don't know what you're talking about. If you're in sin, you're not saved, and the scriptures clearly teach that baptism is what removes sin. Acts 2:38, 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall...

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!!!

That's wierd, cuz that's not what the bible says! You said "baptism saves no one!!" 1 Peter 3:21 21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

You who would be justified by the law; you have FALLEN AWAY from grace

Hebrews 6:4-6. The warning and consequences to the newly converted Jews; so yes, you can lose your salvation. 4For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5And have tasted the good word of God, and...

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!!!

Only one way according to scripture. Baptism into the body of Christ, the church. By immersion into him, your sins are remitted and you also receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38-47). It's at this point you become a child of God and a Christian.

The Only Biblical Answer to the Age of Accountability

Jesus is the best example. Luke 2:41-49. Jesus was 12yo when he was doing his father's business. That's a very good and realistic benchmark, not hard and fast, because everyone is different, but definitely a good benchmark.

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

So you say. What does the passage say? What do Romans 7 and 2 Cor 12 mean, or are they not linked as I've stated? And if not linked, and not talking about the same thing, the thorn, what do they mean?

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

The thorn, what was it and who tempts? Nice rewording? In what way? What was the thorn? And since God doesn't tempt, who was the tempter? Romans 7 explains the nature of the thorn in Paul's own words: "concupiscence" (KJV), or covetousness/ covetous desires (other translations). And the devil is...

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

Reconcile Romans 7 with what you said, ego being his thorn versus concupiscence or covetousness.
  10. D

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

Close. The devil tempts us wherein we are weak. Paul's issues related to his covetous desires, or "concupiscence" per the KJV, as noted in Romans 7, which the devil took advantage of, Paul's weakness or "thorn". The fact that Paul had these issues (no different than many of us), was a constant...

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

    You lost me

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

The thorn wasn't ego which is what Romans 7 indicates, so, how do you reconcile what you indicated the thorn in his flesh was as opposed to what Romans 7 indicates it was?
  13. D

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

Then how do you reconcile Romans 7 unless you don't believe Paul was speaking of himself in verses 7-9 wherein it's all 1st person singular and mentions something very specific, "concupiscence" per the KJV, or "covetousness/covetous desires", as in other translations?

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

    Thanks for your thoughtful response.

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

The devil tempts. God allows us to be tempted but the devil tempts. And I don't call it, the bible describes it in Paul's own words. The KJV, which I typically read from, and a few other translations, translate as "concupiscence", but most translations say covetousness as does the interlinear...

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

God does not tempt. James 1:13 13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

Were We Alive In Heaven Before We Were Born?

"That which is perfect" is not Christ nor the great day of the Lord. Jesus is not a "that" and neither is the great day of the Lord. Referring to either in that contrite manner is extremely derogatory, unbecoming both. Go figure what it means. I've written about this before. Look it up.

    Big Baptism Argument!

Yes, all those you mentioned lack that clear understanding of scripture. And, numbers don't justify falsehoods. "Few there be that find it". And remember Noah? 8 were saved out of the the entire population of the world at that time.

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

God does not send temptations. And you are the one saying these things here not me. I never said anything of the kind. These are your words. Goodbye

    When is the great tribulation?

Granted, there are things occurring now and that have been occurring that could be construed to be consistent with revelation, e.g.; the growing embrace and use of RFID chip implants in the hand especially in Europe, the drying up of the Euphrates River which is almost totally dried up now, the...
