Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

Ok, so would you agree then that there has only been one true Israel throughout time and the promises were made to that one true Israel and not the unsaved Israel that doesn’t believe in Jesus?

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

Those who were following and abiding by the law were spiritually “alive” prior to Christ. Once Christ came, those who didn’t recognize Jesus as the Messiah while still following and abiding by the law were now spiritually “dead”. All they had to do was not believe and they went from being alive...

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

But you are assuming the rest of the dead are physically dead and not spiritually dead. If you would accept that idea you wouldn’t need a resurrection to make the spiritually dead live again prior to Satan’s little season and you can keep the physical resurrection at the GWTJ.

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

Israel remaining blind in part isn’t immediately removed, it doesn’t say to immediately flee when you see the AOD, the two witnesses aren’t immediately overcome and killed. That’s the whole problem, if we accept the hermeneutics of inserting gaps when we need them I can start making the Bible...

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

Well I can say Israel will remain blind in part up until the GWTJ, even though the Bible say until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in. I can say nobody needs to flee when they see the AOD, they can flee at anytime after the AOD, when they get around to it. I can insert a gap of time after...

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

First off, it’s somewhat deceptive to make statements like statement A) if you knew ahead of time that Trump would serve two non-consecutive terms. A person trying to convey the truth in an “unsealed” manner would say A) But Trump served as President not again until Biden’s term as President was...

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

Are you suggesting that the rest of the physical dead lived not again until Satan’s little season was finished instead of the millennium being finished? If that’s the case then someone who read Revelation 20:5 during Satan’s little season would rightly conclude that the Bible was false, just...

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

From Biblehub it gives the statement “Moab is traditionally considered to be the land of the descendants of Moab, the son of Lot by his elder daughter, as recorded in Genesis 19:37”. I certainly can’t argue against the word “Moab” meaning a piece of land. The boundaries of Moab are not...

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

I really need to take a closer look at this, what I’m seeing here is that the term “Moabite” seems to be referring to a race of people. The term “Moab” could be a location that is defined in the Bible but I can’t take the time right now to do a search on this. I know “Israelite” is not...

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

So then you would be interpreting “Moab” as a geographical region rather than a race of people, correct?

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

Yea, I suppose someone could just claim Moab still existed when A4E was around then they disappeared after that but no matter how you look at it it’s still speculation that would need additional support to be credible. I haven’t studied this, but if the Bible gave information on what a Moabite...

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

Well, what I think is that the term “latter days” just means at a future time, and not that all things that are said to take place in the latter days all take place during that specific time period. As far as identifying who a modern day Moab is, I don’t know. This is the first time I’ve come...

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

That’s a great point you’re bringing up, if Moab disappears forever in 583BC then obviously Daniel 11:41 has to take place prior to that date. Otherwise there has to be a way to figure out who is and who isn’t a Moabite.
  14. G

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

So how can we identify someone who is a Moabite? For all I know you could be a Moabite or maybe I’m a Moabite.
  15. G

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

Sure, but we still should be able to determine who the modern day Moabites are. Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

Jeremiah 48:47 Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab. I don’t see Moab on your chart anywhere. When will the captivity of Moab take place? There currently aren’t any Moabites around anymore.

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

What exactly do yo suppose latter years or latter days means? Any time after the cross? Any time after the rapture? Any time after the millennium? The latter days of Daniel 2:28 are explained in Daniel 2:29 with the statement of “what should come to pass hereafter”. Since the Persian empire...

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

Dwelling Securely After the Exile The text gives us some very specific details regarding this “historical context from the speaker’s perspective” and this “historical phase when the new period of settlement in the land has arrived.” Gog’s attack would come at a time when God’s People are “now...

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

EZEKIEL 38:16, 22 You will come up against My people, Israel, like a cloud covering the land. … With pestilence and bloodshed I will enter into judgment with [Gog] and his hordes. ESTHER 9:16 Now, the rest of the Jews who were in the king’s provinces also gathered to defend their lives and...

Revelation chapter 20 - Gog and Magog

Because you see everything spiritually and I would say everything can have a spiritual meaning but there are some things that do take place literally, like the Ezekiel 38-39 events and the OT plagues.
