Forgiveness can only be for Past Sinning.

I sure have. But I don't desire to. My desire is to please God as best I can.

Bad take. A born again believer would have an inborn desire to please God and obey Him.

Forgiveness can only be for Past Sinning.

While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

God is omniscient and see's everything before it happens so..... yeah

Responding to the title. If that's the case sir then Jesus did not pay a price of infinite worth. But we know He did.

    Objections to Sola Scriptura

He surely is. I do not doubt for one moment that He ain't.

    Objections to Sola Scriptura

A few things with this post. First, this "ministry of reconciliation" you speak of is that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ's atonement. So yes, the saved saints surely have such and it is not secluded to papacy. Second, the ability to govern a church properly must be derived...

    Objections to Sola Scriptura

Every one of those verses applies to saved saints, not just those of your denomination.

    Objections to Sola Scriptura

The problem I have with that is this. How can any denomination today prove that they have preserved the original thoughts, prayers, meditations, feelings and responses to the faith that the very first apostolic Christians and early church founders experienced? Is history not one long telephone...

    Objections to Sola Scriptura

What are the doctrinal objections to this Protestant lynchpin. From the vantage of any denomination. To me, it seems foolish to be against Sola Scriptura. It just makes too much sense that God's inspired word should be the first, middle and last word on all things pertaining to the faith. If...

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

I would encourage you to learn about what faith is and why God desires it from his creation. That would be a first step, I think, for you. Welcone

Who/What is Jesus if not God?

Jesus was forgiving sins committed against God. So you aren't reading those passages correctly

Who/What is Jesus if not God?

Jesus had the power to forgive sins. Who could forgive sins but God alone?

Who/What is Jesus if not God?

There's no mention of a lot of things in the bible. That's a poor argument.

Who/What is Jesus if not God?

John 20:28 Anyone who understands english should be able to figure this out. "Thomas replied, “My Lord and my God" Jesus is not the Father. He is the second person in the trinity.

Timing of the abomination of desolation

That's debatable. Moses, Elijah and Enoch also vie for that position.

    Transubstantiation

John 6:53-58 These verses are what I'm basing my decision on. If communion is only symbolic, then one is not truly ingesting Christ's body and blood.

    Transubstantiation

K well I believe in consubstatiation then.

Amen. Thank you for your insights and welcome to the forum, RedFan

    Transubstantiation

Then I think I'm leaning to consubstantiation. But I agree, just because someone believes in transubstantiation doesn't mean they are sacrificing Christ "over again"
