"pracising"/intentionally sinning means you pay no mind to your sinning, you put no effort, you just say you're a sinner and you sin even though you could've resisted the devil..... "NOT practising"/NOT intentionally sinning means that you put in the effort to not sin, to resist the devil...

Personally I think there are contradictions in scriptures bc it was corrupted by man. We'd then have to go through/study history to possibly know the truth, but all-in-all we can conclude something here and that's as far as I've gone.
