    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

(If it is fulfilled in a different fashion, it hasn't been spiritualized away.)

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

Often when people ask about this, they seem to mean the Sabbath, specifically, since the other nine commandments are no-brainers. Jesus did not view the Sabbath the same way that the Pharisees seemed to, so I suspect that our view should be more like His, rather than theirs. The writer of...

    Jokes, fun and comedy

More of a "What were they thinking...!?" than a joke... In Judges 15:15, Samson killed 1,000 Philistines with a donkey's jawbone. My question: once #999 went down, why did #1,000 stick around...?

I like this poster about the KJV....

When I read off-line, I like my parallel Bible, KJV Amplified NASB NIV I like NKJV when on-line.

A Funny Thing Happened in Church.

I am familiar with that word, but I have never seen it used anywhere with any regularity (except, possibly, among speech therapists...).

    Where does the Bible say?

    To you, I cannot.

    Where does the Bible say?

That all comes back to one's operating paradigm. We will just have to agree to disagree. (But I answered the OP from my current paradigm, if not yours.)

    Where does the Bible say?

I don't know. I am guessing that would have been the same process that ejected the Apocrypha.

    Where does the Bible say?

"We picked the same books" is not the same thing as "I picked your books."

    Where does the Bible say?

I think that you are missing my answers because they don't align with your paradigms.

    Where does the Bible say?

Your refusal to recognize those verses in their most straightforward terms is due to their conflict with external doctrines [Perpetual Virginity] that I do not recognize. (I thought that I made that clear.) That tunnel vision compels you to shoehorn in a glaringly improbable rationale for its...

    Where does the Bible say?

I agree that they are historically worthwhile, but the RCC is not their author. And that does not obligate me to accept further, extra-Scriptural teachings.

    Where does the Bible say?

Maybe I should be more specific in my answer. Here is my answer based on the sixty-six books of the Bible that I recognize,... It has only an improbable window for objection. (And the burden of proof would be on the improbable.) "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother...

    Where does the Bible say?

The RCC doesn't have a copyright on the 66 books that we agree on. That is a non-starter. And that agreement doesn't obligate me to further recognize even more doctrines that are outside of their scope.

    Where does the Bible say?

Do you realize that this line of Socratic reasoning/argument is departing from the OP (which I already answered)? Do any of the seven books in question speak to Mary's alleged Perpetual Virginity or Immaculate Conception?

    Where does the Bible say?

Rejecting those books absolutely meant that the Catholic traditions were re-evaluated. The RCC did not author the books that remain.

    Where does the Bible say?

I am unsure where I stand on Sola Scriptura, because I do not have a precise definition for it. Where Scripture is clear (like Original Sin), I reject all conflicting doctrines. Where it is unclear (like Trinity & Free-will vs. Predestination), I hold that they are somehow true, but beyond my...

    Must Christians obey government

Yes, to the extent that it doesn't interfere with our general obedience before God, directly. For example, seat belt & [motorcycle] helmet laws do not interfere with our faithful service before God. The laws in the USA allow people to do some inappropriate things, but I can think of no instance...

Why is the bible so murky and confusing?

You have to get the Decoder Ring, too...! Jesus said, "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you...

A Funny Thing Happened in Church.

That is not too different from a "spoonerism." (W.A. Spooner was a minister, too. ;))
