Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

Seeing as that is NOT speaking in tongues because NO ONE UNDERSTANDS, UNLESS ONE INTERPRETS, that would be a MIRACLE.

It only says that the Queen of the Ethiopians went to worship. I can't say for sure that the eunuch was too.

But they teach that the mercy of God COVERS our sins and forgives our past, present and future sins. Do you believe that?

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

Philip wasn't an apostle. Acts 6: 2 Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. 3 Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom...

Yes it is the way I understand Grace. It is the power of God. The Holy Spirit is the power of God. How do you understand grace?

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

The Eunuch was Gentile. The Holy Spirit had not fallen on the Gentiles yet, and they didn't need hands laid on them. But as soon as God cleansed the Gentiles and showed this to Peter in that vision, and Cornelius and his family received the Holy Spirit without hands, I can just imagine what was...

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

This is still the message in order to receive the New Covenant gospel, the power of God, the power of the Holy Spirit to be free of sin. John the Apostle said the same thing, to confess your sins. That means to repent. And Jesus told them to baptize them.

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

I looked for this verse and couldn't find it. Acts 2 is a long chapter; what verse are you referring to?

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

All who believe and are baptized receive the authorities/manifestations in Mark 16:16-18 - ALL CHRISTIANS WHO ARE BORN OF THE SPIRIT. Not all receive the ministry gifts of 1 Corinthians 12, except one. I have all except the gifts of diverse kinds of tongues and interpretation of tongues. I also...

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

It was a sign. It was sovereign. They didn't need to understand it even, because they overheard praises to God that doesn't need interpretation. But God used it to DRAW THEM to Christ and to listen what Peter preached.

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

It wasn't Peter who was speaking in tongues. It was the 120. Peter and the eleven were at their side and received the second filling. Peter received Prophecy and understood that what was happening was the fulfillment of the Joel 2 prophecy and preached in about that to them in Hebrew.

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

I never said Peter was. In fact no one has. I said he used their common language. They could all speak Hebrew.

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

No, Peter spoke in their common language. They understood naturally what he was preaching. They were bilingual. The 3000 devout Jews were doing the interpreting of the tongues and understood all of them speaking their own language.

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

How else do you think the gift of interpretation works? You hear what is being said in tongues in your own language. God can speak many languages, but when he speaks to me, I hear him in English. If I had the gift of interpretation of tongues He would also speak to me when they were speaking...

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

I don't teach anything that isn't scriptural Apostles 1st - John 20: 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 2nd - Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem...

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

@Behold But NEITHER the sign nor the gift of tongues can be understood by man. 1 Corinthians 14:2 is true of both. Only the direction is different. SIGN: TO God GIFT: FROM God, and needs the supernatural gift of interpretation. Our prayers do not need to be interpreted, but a person with...

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

Of course I am. I don't lie! And I can understand what is being said, by how they wrote it. How do you explain that each man heard all of them speaking his own language. You are just not reading it correctly. You are coming at it with a preconceived belief and can't see that each person heard...

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

I agree with you. It was the 120 who were speaking the sign of tongues from Mark 16:16-18 TO God in PRAISE. But the gift of interpretation can be given to anyone to draw them to Christ. I saw it happen just like this in Arizona. This was the 120s first filling, but the apostles second Acts 1:8...

I believe in truth. A verse with ONE Author cannot have TWO meanings.

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

Hi Behold. On the Day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit fell. BOTH the speakers and the hearers who all loved God received the Holy Spirit. They were all Jews The 120 disciples spoke in tongues the 3000 devout Jews came to Christ that day because of the gift of interpretation of tongues.
