    One baptism. Not two.

Scripture doesn't conflict with nor contradict scripture. You cannot take a single Scripture and base your belief on it and it alone while ignoring other scriptures that say something more. You must read scripture additively, combining the requirements found in each into one composite set of...

    One baptism. Not two.

I certainly don't need your flawed help to understand the simple truth. Acts 2:38 below inextricably ties repentance and baptism together by the conjunction "and". Both are required, not one, but both as a condition of receiving remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Ghost. No different than...

    One baptism. Not two.

YOU read Peter, and it says baptism saves us period. Read Acts 2:38 for the reason. For the remission of sins. Read Acts 22:16. 16And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. Pretty clear, si clear that the simplest of people can...

People say you can not lose faith, God can't lose you, is that true?

Saved is saved. There are no degrees of salvation, like really saved, for sure saved, kinda saved, etc. You either are or aren't. Whether you remain saved is another issue. The scripture says you must remain faithful unto death.

    One baptism. Not two.

1 Peter 3:21 21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Acts22:16 16And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy...

People say you can not lose faith, God can't lose you, is that true?

????? Bottom line and to simply it for you, the letter to the Hebrews was to Hebrew brethren in Christ: they were saved believers, newly converted Jews. The warnings in it are clear; warning them of falling away, denouncing Christ, and reverting back to their previous religious beliefs.

People say you can not lose faith, God can't lose you, is that true?

That you cannot lose faith. Read Hebrews and the warnings therein, cautioning them not to backslide falling into unbelief and returning to their old beliefs

    One baptism. Not two.

Per the original Greek in the interlinear it's "in one Spirit" not "by one Spirit". The kjv and some other translations have it wrong.

Denominations that teach only they will be saved

There are, or rather weren't any denominations in the bible. Denominations equate to division and division is condemned. The church of the bible should be the goal. The church today should be modeled and structured after the church of the bible. If that's done, the biblical church can be...

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

Not a condition per se but an absolute necessity as a demonstration of your faith which leads to salvation. The conditions are. 1. Belief which encompasses faith 2. Confession of belief (Rom 10:9) 3. Repentance (Acts 2:38) 4. Baptism (Acts 2:38) Belief and faith will create the desire and will...

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

We don't need the gifts at all, we have the bible. The only so called gift today that people claim to have and cling to as "proof" is tongues, which is a total joke.

Tongues ( 'sign' gifts ) did/did not cease?

Not sure exactly what you mean, but to clarify my point a bit, it's the miraculous manifestation of the Spirit, the gifts listed in 1 Cor 12:8-10, that have ended and were made manifest in biblical times by the laying on of the apostle's hands. The only 2 instances recorded in scripture where...

What Makes Ex-Christians Think They Once Were Christians?

I can't be taught false doctrine. I ain't that dumb

What Makes Ex-Christians Think They Once Were Christians?

I don't waste time reading nonsense. Anyone can easily follow the biblical plan of salvation. I've said this before and here once again, man makes something easy and simple, difficult. It was clear enough for the very simple people in biblical times to understand, so why has it gotten so...

What Makes Ex-Christians Think They Once Were Christians?

Don't know what your point is, and yes, coC doctrine is consistent with scripture and poses no dilemma. If you believe, you will also have faith that Jesus is who he says he is and can save your soul by your confession of belief, followed by your obedience which also includes repentance and...

What Makes Ex-Christians Think They Once Were Christians?

Quoting Acts 2 was in reference to the Jews on the day of Pentecost and their conversion. Simon was saved. He believed and was immersed in water into Christ for the remission of sins and doing so, the Lord added him to the church (Acts 2:47) as does he all who do the same no different than I...
