    What are you?

    We become Cmdr. Riker?

    What are you?

What are you when you die and your sinful nature is stripped away to reveal the new man? What does this new man look like? Will you even recognize yourself? Will you have a self to recognize? Lastly, can you realize this new man now, in the flesh? If so, how would your experience of life change?

Authoritarian ~ is this the reason that the left hates God?

It's all about power. It has always been about power. It will always be about power. Anything that gives them power is good. Anything that threatens their power is bad. There is no coherent philosophy. There is no morality. It's just about gaining and keeping power.

If you found you were in the wrong faith, would you change?

Faith isn't something you can choose. Rather, faith grows within you until the day comes when you realize you believe. Oftentimes that belief comes as a shock, being wholly unexpected. At least that's my experience.

I have poured through the New Testament and the only thing I can say with 100% certainty regarding Jesus' teachings is we must love one another. 1 John 4:7 "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God." If everyone can agree...

The problem as I see it is there are many differing schools of thought when it comes to Christianity. How do we know which one is correct? Are the Catholics correct, or the Calvinists? Is it the Jehovah's Witnesses, Anglicans or Mormons? What of those who follow no screed but simply study the...

    God's willingness to forgive.

Matthew 18:21-22 ESV The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant 21 Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times. I assume...

    Son of God/Son of man

I find the following scripture illuminating as to the mind of Jesus. Luke 22:39-46 ESV Jesus Prays on the Mount of Olives 39 And he came out and went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him. 40 And when he came to the place, he said to them, “Pray that you may...

How do I know that is their "sole purpose"? Is it not possible that others disagree with you not out of malice but rather simple difference in understanding?

Not everyone is at the same place in their walk with Jesus, thus the varying beliefs and notions presented. Instead of condemning those who profess a different point of view as heretics, why not correct them in the spirit of love?

    Son of God/Son of man

That is quite confounding. It's as if Satan did not understand the full measure to whom he was speaking. Perhaps he did not?

The Golden Rule, common to more faiths that we might think at first

What is the implication of this? Does this imply a 'meta-religion', i.e. a common religion underlying all current religion? If so, how does this fit in with false gods and idols?

    War: what should we do?

I have the right to lay down my life for what I believe but do I have the right to lay down your life? That's the ethical dilemma. In the case of war if I do nothing then I may well die, but then again so may you. Do I have the right to decide not to fight (assuming I am able) when you do not...

    Coincidence? I Think Not!

Yes, but he's more than that; God is the means by which the concept of good is made possible. He's beyond good! That, however, is a conversation for another day... ;-D
