    Justification By Works

Yes, thank God works follow faith and faith follows Salvation. It is not that I am good, but that He works in me. I do not enjoy sinning.

    Justification By Works

I never argued salvation by faith alone. I specifically said not saved by faith. This is why I don't spend much time engaging with people.

Are all “christians” on forums actually saved?

I can relate. Salvation is looking to Christ. Whenever I look away from Christ and focus on myself, I am in the lowest pit of that despair.

    Justification By Works

We are not saved by our doing nor our faith. Christians are not saved by their faith. Christians are saved by Grace. By grace through faith. Jesus is the Author and Finisher of faith. Christians have faith because they are saved. Jesus is the gift of Salvation that takes a dead sinner and gives...

    Justification By Works

So the one who believes on Jesus Christ will be saved. That's all there is to it. It's all in Christ. If you believe on Him, that means you have His Salvation. Don't try to do any works to be saved, as if Christ isn't good enough. That's rejecting Christ. - Jesus said unto her, I am the...

    Justification By Works

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: (Romans 3:22) Salvation is Christ alone. Saved by grace through faith.

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

We are all workers of lawlessness. Only Christ obeyed the Moral Law of God. The Law is the schoolmaster which leads to Christ. Christ is the end of the law. Christ is our Salvation. Keep studying.

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Believing, trusting, hoping on what Jesus Christ did is evidence that He has washed you with His blood.(maybe you don't believe on Him, I don't know) What is there to fear on judgement day, when Jesus the Judge Himself sees His own perfect works in you? It's not what you did, it's not what I...

We didn't get much snow this time here in Nashville. Last week I measured 6 inches. This time I guess about 2 inches. How much snow did you get?

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

I think when you say it's ridiculous, you have a problem with Calvinism. John Calvin: “The will of God is the chief and principal cause of all things.” “What we must prove is that single events are ordered by God and that every event comes from his intended will. Nothing happens by chance.”...

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

John Calvin: "Hence we maintain that, by His providence, not heaven and earth and inanimate creatures only, but also the counsels and wills of men are so governed as to move exactly in the course which He has destined." Grace and peace to you as well.

Where does "Calvinism" say God is under a law?

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Man doesn't have a will that is free from God. Man's will is what God forms it to be. Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

    Where is the logical problem?

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

God determined both your lunch and your ignorance of His determination. Do you think God has some super power to look into the future? He knows everything because He determines everything. If He looked into the future, then He was ignorant beforehand.

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Now you are like the non-Calvinists. Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: Acts 17:28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own...

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

You know too much, friend. As in, you think you "know" more than you actually know. I have been locked on your point from the beginning. You have been the one deflecting from your own point. You said: Your point was to attack a specific behavior of God in "Calvinism". Why would God command...

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

God predestinated that you would be responsible for sinning. If you can't grasp this, then you can't grasp the reformed position.
  19. Rudometkin

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

You said God did not predetermine sin. You said God predetermined the crucifixion. So you believe that the crucifixion was not a sinful act.

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Can there be a crucifixion without sin?
