If it really is true then the only option for the two ideas to be reconciled with one another that is left open to us is the Jewish concept of preexistence.

The Jewish concept of preexistence also doesn’t posit that Jesus Messiah pre-existed in human form. So we do have that in common. I don’t see anything in the verse about Jesus taking on human flesh.
