The feminization of Christianity and Jesus today is poisonous

A good example of this topic is how emotional worship songs have gotten. The Orthodox Christians, Catholics, and old Protestants had more Scripture in their worship than we do now. The the result is plenty of songs about God's love, comfort, and grace without any balance. God's severity and...

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

I see feminism's main sins as envy and selfish ambition. But one of the sad results of a movement that opposes God's design for women are the women who choose neither home dedication or traditionally male roles, but pure selfishness as a lifestyle. These women are hardly activists. They shop...

It Was Hard For Me To Understand Christian Modesty for Women

You can count on me to think jeans shouldn't be that pricey and to overthink pretty much evetything else! You're welcome! lol

The feminization of Christianity and Jesus today is poisonous

I see your point but I think "feminized Christianity" refers to a modern contempt for masculinity in favor of femininity in churches today. Femininity is wonderful but so is masculinity.

    Deconstruction Part 2: Into Apostolicity

Was aware of the Orthodox and Greek Othodox Church but not Eastern Orthodox. Some beautiful music from the churches, but I don't know much about the doctrine. Thank you for sharing. Some deconstructionists question the Bible. We believe the Bible is our objective standard as Christians but...

Yeah. That was almost as spot on as I always am. (just kidding) But its nice to put things into words like that.

    The Modern Gospel

For sure. I think I post about 1/5th of what I actually think toward others on here. I'm not as neutral as I sound. For the sake of the rules and basic civility, I remind myself that I don't have to post everything I think. No one does. I have people I find insufferable on here. And I don't...

Id like to see my own posts reflect more gentleness and patience too. Less.acting out or reacting. Sorry about the unresolved sticky point. I hope it gets better

    The Modern Gospel

Not sure I agree in this instance. The verse was addressed to believers. But here is more context. James 1:19-20 19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. I agree that not...

    Justified by Works

I see. I definitely agree. Jesus had to help the disciples with Scripture understanding.

    Justified by Works

IHad to read it twice but I think I got it. If you answered the conundrum, are you saying there are others that can't be reconciled?

    The Modern Gospel

I was trying to go for a general reminder. I never thought to single you out or anyone else. I'm counting on each person reading this to adjust if they need to. Im not into controlling people, just seeking peace. I guess I can be too vague and aloof at times. But I have no desire to target...

    Justified by Works

Im grateful on the clarity on works and righteousness but I think I focused more on that in the initial post. As for the Romans 2 and 3 problem...my answer? I don't know. My guess is that Romans 2 is meant to highlight that doing things according to the natural law of conscience is better...

    Justified by Works

I suppose I disagree. There are Scriptures that appear to contradict each other or cancel each other out. I just haven't found any examples that actually do, given context. Not that I couldn't be wrong. I just see contradictions as a me problem.

I agree. But insults are not in line with the forum rules. Adjust comments accordingly, even when correcting people.

    The Modern Gospel

Was not threatening to close the thread. But it could get there. Personally, it feels like most of us spiritualize our lack of patience with others on here. Meaning, our insults are Godly correction, but theirs are proof of carnality. Who can truly say? Does the anger of man produce the...
