    When God is Silent

Yeah, CS Lewis had a most heart-rendering story. The one he finally fell in love with, was already dying from terminal cancer when he married her. They only had a total of four years together before she died. :-( I have read a number of CS's books over the years, and they have not been an easy...

    Life and Death? Abortion too?

I am sure that you know very well what I meant! I am a catholic, as a member of the universal church; but I am not a Catholic nor a Roman Catholic, a counterfeit religion synchronistic with paganism.

    When God is Silent

No!! That really doesn't work for me, because "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death." Romans 8 So if we are free from the law, how can we possibly sin against a law that...

    When God is Silent

Nancy, I was just reading this a few hours ago as I started my day, where Job asks his friends why they are persecuting him as God does. “Why do you persecute me as God does, And are not satisfied with my flesh? And then Job goes down the list of all the nasty things God has done to him. Too...

    When God is Silent

Probably no need to order. It is probably easily available online.

    Life and Death? Abortion too?

While the two terms are similar, they are not exact synonyms. The difference I see is that in a court of law, a mediator is the judge, while the intercessor is more like the lawyer presenting to the judge on behalf of his client. If I may suggest the meaning from Romanism. where the pope, the...

    When God is Silent

Nancy, you bring to mind the words of CS Lewis after losing his wife. From A Grief Observed (1961) by CS Lewis: "Oh, God, God, why did you take such trouble to force this creature out of its shell, if it's now doomed to crawl back — to be sucked back — into it?" Lewis struggles profoundly...

The false doctrines of the Futurist and Preterist interpretation.

A lot of words to describe what Daniel consistently referred to as last days, end times, etc. could be accepted simply with a couple Biblical references. What preterists believe or why they believe it is of no more interest to me than all the other deluded cults out there.

But it doesn't say there are other mediators.

Judaizers! They Live!!!! They walk among us!!!

Grailhunter sez >> "The Mosaic Law is eternal to the point of all things being accomplished. It is the Law of the Covenant between God and Israel. Most of the Jews are still in that Covenant and under that Law." While the Mosaic law was fulfilled at the crucifixion, when Christ said It is...

Judaizers! They Live!!!! They walk among us!!!

Of course I have read Hebrews, which has NEVER said that the Old Covenant has been terminated, since it is an eternal Covenant, although it might be regarded as obsolete in light of the New, it has never been terminated, nor will it ever be!

The Love of God - John MacArthur

Ignore it. My computer is all screwed up since it was infected with the latest version of Windows 10!

The Love of God - John MacArthur

I am unfamiliar with that term.

Judaizers! They Live!!!! They walk among us!!!

I stopped reading your thesis beyond this point. The Old Covenant has NEVER been abridged, suspended or terminated. God declared that is was an eternal Covenant between Abraham and his seed. It is still the Covenant within which most of Israel still relates to God. God said it was forever!

The Love of God - John MacArthur

God's love is a mystery. As your referenced John McArthur confirms that before they were even born, God loved Jacob and hated Esau! Even before the beginning of the world, God declares that He had already chosen His own: "He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be...

    Life and Death? Abortion too?

That's just common historical knowledge from reading the ancient texts, and consistent with the traditional bas mitzvah of that era, where one became a woman at age 11, while guys were a little slower, and did not become an adult until age 12. Look it up on Wiki. Lots of info there.

    Life and Death? Abortion too?

No lower criteria is mentioned. The only criteria is mentioned is that they be virgins, and they were not to be shared with their sons. They were just dad's toy. So any virgin from birth on up was fair game.

    Life and Death? Abortion too?

Yeah, I agree with pretty much everything you say. From my research, Mary was only 13 when she conceived, and 14 years of age when she bore Jesus. And that seems to have been the norm in those days. Males entered manhood at their bar mitzvah at age 12, but girls entered womanhood at year earlier...

    Life and Death? Abortion too?

Repent of what?? Quoting Scripture?? From this passage, we see the mind of God. If you don't like that God, then you have the option of choosing a new one, one who will agree with you.
