Why its important to keep the Sabbath

When you find the true answer to that ^^^^, then ask yourself about the promise of God to Israel to write His laws on their hearts. A NT promise btw. Who does that actually apply to? The nation? Or God's church?

Why its important to keep the Sabbath

You no doubt have some biblical evidence in support of the above. Right? It's not just another, "thus saith David"? All of which is absolute truth. Clearly and succinctly the word of God to the children of Israel. So. Who is Israel? And who are truly Israel's children? Are they the fleshly...

Why its important to keep the Sabbath

Barney quoted an excellent essay explaining those passages. Seems you missed the email. That's true. Know anyone doing that? I might. 90% of Christianity honour a day unsanctioned by God. Others think believe it or not, that Jesus said rest in Me and ignore the day. Still others don't think God...

Why its important to keep the Sabbath

No doubt you will be able to quote this clear "thus saith the Lord, there is no Sabbath in the NT". Interestingly, I and others have quoted numerous verses stating CLEARLY that the laws and commandments of God are forever. And they are ignored.

Is Sunday sacredness in the Bible?

I cannot believe that you actually posted that reference in all seriousness. I thought at the very least, a "thus saith the Lord"... Scripture... Was the foundation of faith and practise for non Catholics. But that entire article was built solely on human reasoning. Some of it was just nonsense...

Why its important to keep the Sabbath

Despite the objections of one here, it seems Ziggy is correct... KJV Exodus 33:11 11 And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle . And yes...

Why do Christians prefer their Churches segregated..

@BarneyFife I remember seeing Mark on TV many years ago, it's great what he's doing, and I'm sure he won't be the only person ministering to the disenfranchised and downtrodden, bringing healing, health, and hope. Yes. It turns out he's particularly sensitive to any venom or poison or stingy...

Why do Christians prefer their Churches segregated..

It isn't only slavery that was historically and significantly wrong with early American society. The manner in which land was stolen from native Americans, and they shunted like cattle cars into small sidings called 'reservations', was an abomination. What redress are the Indians getting? Money...

Why do Christians prefer their Churches segregated..

If my grandfather had stolen your grandmother's car, and I now possessed it and you only today discovered the duplicity and theft, would you not be justified in demanding it back? Or would I be justified in saying as you are doing now, it wasn't my fault, I didn't steal it, not my problem.

What's interesting is that Jesus firmly rebuked the Jewish leaders for doing what they were doing, or not doing, on Sabbath, yet you want us to copy their ways? Maybe Israel had it all wrong, (after all, they killed their Messiah) and God has finally got a people heading in the right direction...

Is Sunday sacredness in the Bible?

To me it seems unaccountable that Jesus, during three years' discussion with His disciples, often conversing with them upon the Sabbath question, discussing it in some of its various aspects, freeing it from its false [Jewish traditional] glosses, never alluded to any transference of the day...

Why its important to keep the Sabbath

No argument, except I am wondering why you persist in describing the weekly Sabbath as being "under Moses". Or the "law of Moses". Well, actually I do know, is because you are too much of a coward to admit the Sabbath as belonging to God and a part of HIS LAW. You are sounding like a broken...

Why its important to keep the Sabbath

The Sabbath is one of those commandments for the breaking of which Jesus died. The laws of Moses and the laws of God are different. The laws of Moses, which included denial feast day Sabbaths, were nailed to the cross, because they pointed to Jesus... the laws of God, which included the weekly...

Why its important to keep the Sabbath

So long as you continue to ignore His commandments, and teach they are defunct, you will never find true rest.

Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

So when God brought Israel out from Egypt, took then to Sinai and gave them His law, He said, “I am the Lord your God which hath brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, to bring you into more bondage “. But did He really? Why did He break the 4th commandment again...

Why do Christians prefer their Churches segregated..

I grew up in a country that is very integrated, and many mixed marriages between European and Maori have resulted in a unique culture. However, there are historical grievances over land and cultural issues that required healing. These issues are global. And yes, it was predominantly white...
