    Paul didn't write Hebrews

I don't know anything about Greek, so am not in a position to discuss it intelligently. However, God presented His message to me in English, and I have enough trouble with that!! :-) Nevertheless I am fully content to read His message in English, which has already kept me occupied for a full...

    Paul didn't write Hebrews

You forgot to mention Genesis, where God describes the process. God starts out by building His new creation from dirt. But God doesn't breath in this new entity the breath of life until all the parts have been assembled, most of which are essential to sustain life after it becomes a living being.

    Paul didn't write Hebrews

Do dead things move and leap?? My bowels move, but they are not a living being. It is the general understanding within our language, that one becomes a living being at the moment of birth, and that's why we all base our birthday upon the date we were born. I first became a living being when I...

As to whether it was a 'natural' pregnancy is another matter. If it was not natural, then whatever happened in that instance may not be a defence that many use. And BTW, if you check the Greek, it does not say "baby". It uses "fetus". But there was something different about John's experience in...

    Paul didn't write Hebrews

GodsGrace>>"But was Calvin led by the Holy Spirit? He penned a lot of stuff that this theology goes by. His writings are referred to more than the bible,,,although this is starting to change." John was a fetus at the time, and if you check out normal pregnancy, fetuses jump around in the womb...

    Paul didn't write Hebrews

GodsGrace >>"Was Hebrews written in Greek ORIGINALLY or was it written with a Greek style? I can't remember and Stan B brought this up." Don't look at me! I wasn't there, so I have no personal knowledge of the authorship. but I have a lot of scholars who share the same opinion. While...

Your speculative hypothesis does not work for me. When did Paul ever call Timothy a "brother"? In his first letter he addresses "Timothy, my true child " And in his second letter he addresses "Timothy, my beloved son." No 'brother' stuff in there.

    Paul didn't write Hebrews

GodsGrace >>Hey "As a Christian person that represents the word of God, it would behoove you and those that come into contact with you to study this and come to understand the word of God. THOU SHALT NOT KILL." If you are using an ancient version of the Bible that says "THOU SHALT NOT KILL."...

    Paul didn't write Hebrews

GodsGrace>>Is he not human because he may or may not be breathing? IF HE DOES NOT BREATH....He is still a human being... one that HAS DIED...not one that never lived - because in the womb his heart was beating and there was life because there was movement. I have no personal opinion on this...

    Paul didn't write Hebrews

Philip said "Once upon a time it was 'legal' to sacrifice children to Molech too..." How silly! Murdering children was never sanctioned by God's law!! Philip said "Men 'legalizing' murder does not change it from still being murder." For sure! Murder is a crime against both man's and God's...

    Paul didn't write Hebrews

Marks says >>"There is an underlaying assumption here that all men receive life in the same method that the first man received his life." Adam was formed from dirt, and God breathed into his nostrils, and that dirt form came alive, became a living being." "An unborn baby is not a dirt...

I am not pushing anything on anyone. You are the one who is doing that! And if I ever find an admonition in Scripture telling me to embrace the Gospel according to Grailhunter, then it is time for me to look for a new Bible!

Grailhununter, for what it’s worth, when you post everything in bold font, I find it really annoying, and just pass on to the next post instead of reading anything you have posted.

Sounds like it’s time to retrieve Alfy from my bookshelf and blow off some of the dust that that has accumulated over the decades.

They are not MY thoughts, they are God’s thoughts as He has presented them to me in Scripture.

    Paul didn't write Hebrews

Studying Scripture is what I have been doing for 60 years of my 77 years. Over those years, I have studied the works of many great scholars, and have discovered that rather than augmenting my understanding of God’s message to me, they are merely a distraction. Long ago I learned to study...

    Paul didn't write Hebrews

GodsGrace says>> "Biblical scholars are agreed that the N.T. is written in Koine Greek (simple Greek) with a smattering of Aramaic..I don't remember where, but very little." You live in a different world than I do. Never ever have scholars agreed upon the idea that the entire New Testament was...

    Paul didn't write Hebrews

GodsGrace says>> "Only the most extreme scientists do not agree that a fetus is a living being." So, you are saying that you derive your theology from scientists, rather than Scripture?? The Bible says “The LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the...
