The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

What if we look at it like this... God created man (Adam) by first forming a body from the dust of the earth. And then breathing life into that body, such that Adam became a living soul - i.e. having a body and inner spirit (i.e. soul). Then man (Adam) sinned, and became subject to the...

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

Would it be less confusing and controversial if we considered the term "soul", as being the innermost part of a person ? i.e. our souls, our real self, can be detached from our current physical body upon death. But the soul in the spiritual realm can have a ghost like body. For example...

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

I think that those having the Holy Spirit presence within their soul, will never die, albeit the natural bodies of men has being appointed to die. I think when it speaks of the spirit of life, it is referring to a created beings like humans, animals, fish, and the like - when those created...

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

Lizbeth, I made this table of all the end times times frames given in bible - that may be helpful to you. Their placement is to fit within the forthcoming 7 years that immediately precede Jesus's return day.

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

Hi Lizbeth, The thousand year reign of Christ in Revelation is after Jesus physically returns to this earth and is physically present here on earth during the thousand year reign. In Zechariah 14:4, is Jesus physically returned, to stand on the Mt. of Olives, splitting it in half.

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

@Spiritual Israelite Yes, I was replying to Jay about the fundamental two factors in determining when the deadline could be determined for Jesus's return to begin the 1000 year millennium. I was speaking in very concise terms. - which you are interpreting as me defining a generation, and not...

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

You are doing it again....using your words as though they were mine. Copy and paste my words, without restating what I wrote with your words.

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

Then why did Jesus say in verse 34... 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. ...? Why do you truncate verse 34 from the parable ?

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

The parable of the fig tree is about the generation that will not pass away without witnessing what Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24:15-31, which includes His return.

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

You are taking what I wrote and then reframing it with your words, to make it sound like something I said. I did not say "this generation" lasts for 70 years. I wrote: "Every generation of human beings - the human beings of that generation have a certain life expectancy." Stop...

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

I never said that the word generation means "life expectancy". Every generation of human beings - the human beings of that generation have a certain life expectancy.

No, I am saying that every generation has a life expectancy.

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

1946-1964 is a bracket. In my post regarding the parable of the fig tree generation, I wrote the bracket is the year 1967. In my post I wrote the bracket is the year 1967. 70 years is the life expectancy time as given by King David in Psalms 90:10.

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

You took verse 19 out of context. Jesus and the disciples were returning to Jerusalem from over-nighting in Bethany. Jesus cursed the fig tree beside the road, knowing that Jerusalem would reject Him as their King. In Matthew 23:39, Jesus said of Jerusalem, that it would not see Him...

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

You did not answer the question. I am of "the baby boomer generation". How is the meaning of "generation" in that phrase any different from what is meant for generation in "the parable of the fig tree generation" ? The answer is there is no difference in the meaning of "generation" in each of...

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

I have been saying "the parable of the fig tree generation". I am of "the baby boomer generation". How is the meaning of "generation" in that phrase any different from what is meant for generation in "the parable of the fig tree generation" ?

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

More to it than that because in verse 34, Jesus said... 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

That passage does not say when that particular generation passes. Differently, the parable of the fig tree focuses on the fig tree generation not passing away, before all things Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:15-31 are fulfilled. You are missing the whole point of the parable of the fig tree...

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

Because the fig tree generation will not pass away without all things in Matthew 24:15--31 being fulfilled. In context, Jesus was talking about the parable of the fig tree generation. 32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know...

The battle of Gog and Magog does not happen until after the thousand year reign of Christ

Jesus said it would be one specific generation that would not pass away until all the things he spoke of would be fulfilled. You have broken all things up as being partially fulfilled in a first century generation, And then later, in the end times, a different generation which the remaining...
