Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

I addressed the false teaching of Mid Acts Dispensationalism you proposed in your thread here, here, and here. This does not prove your theory of Mid Acts Dispensationalism. Peter did not appear to have the gift of knowledge as you claim because he did not know the inclusion of the Gentiles...

    The Pre-Trib Rapture

It cannot be the same event because the Olivet discourse is clearly the middle of the Tribulation and not the end. This is what Post Escapologists do not seem to understand. You most likely don’t know that… (a) The signs or the sixth seal is tied to the same signs that are marked by the...

    "Dispensational Or...

God is not a respecter of persons. Ultra Dispensationalism or Mid Acts Dispensationalism seems like God is showing more favor to one group of people over another. This seems inconsistent with the character of GOD and His goodness and fairness.

    "Dispensational Or...

While we are initially and ultimately saved by God's grace through faith in Christ, the Bible also teaches that works of faith also play a part in the salvation process. For both Jesus and Paul taught and or implied that works play a part in eternal life. #1. Both Jesus and Paul essentially...

    "Dispensational Or...

The OP sounds like it is teaching the false teaching of MAD. Mid Acts Dispensationalism (MAD) basically says that Paul wrote only to the Gentile believers, and Peter to only the Jews. Mid Acts is also saying that Jesus taught entirely different teachings in the gospels than the apostle Paul...

You are welcome. May God bless you.

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

That’s good. I don’t believe Spirit baptism replaced water baptism (Based on the clear testimony of Scripture), either. Because I don’t believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism anymore. The challenge was to those who believed this way.

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

While this video is not really about the baptism issue (although it is mentioned briefly), it did help me to hold to my position of Bible Alone. Side Note: While I had many verses to defend why Spirit baptism replaced water baptism, the problem is that it was all based on conjecture. I had...

    "Dispensational Or...

Well, you are taking Numbers 14 out of context. They failed not because it was a different dispensation. But they failed because they did not obey God and they complained and wanted to go back to Egypt. They abandoned the Lord and were told by God that they would not enter and yet they defied...

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

We know when something is literal vs. metaphorical. God says we are to love others as we love ourselves. Obviously we would not want to harm another person physically because the Scriptures are clear that we are to turn the other cheek, and do good unto our enemies when evil is done against...

What Christian is not doing the works of the flesh?

@Always Believing Romans 1:31-32 31 “Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” I see...

When Jesus said, “there is none good but one, that is, God.” did He mean nobody could be good?

I believe the Bible teaches that it is God who does the good work through the faithful believer and it is not themselves alone of their own power doing that good work. I can provide verses if you need them.

What Christian is not doing the works of the flesh?

It is written, 5 "Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom. 6 For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the...

    The Pre-Trib Rapture

He is coming for his saints in the Olivet discourse. In Revelation 19 He is returning with his saints. Big difference there, my friend.

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

Also, I am not denying we are baptized into the Spirit when we receive Jesus as our Savior. I believe 1 Corinthians 12:13 talks about that. But that does not relinquish our responsibility of water baptism because Jesus told us to baptize (Matthew 28:19).

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

While some Belief Alone groups do water baptize, Protestant Perpetual Belief Alone Salvationism is in part to blame for getting people to move away from the command on water baptism in Jesus’ name. Nobody wants to follow their instructions in the faith (or they want want to pick and choose...

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

If you talked with me a week ago, I would have agreed with you. But I cannot in good conscience agree now based on the testimony of what is written alone. Ephesians 4:1-6 says, “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With...

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

To everyone here: It must be understood here that while I believe water baptism in the name of Jesus is a must requirement as a part of our faith, I do not see water baptism as the point of contact of faith of how one is Initially Saved like the Church of Christ and the Catholic Church...

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

Brother. I love you in Christ, but I disagree with you on this one now. Yes, I am aware there are other groups who hold to this viewpoint. That is why it has gained in popularity. In fact, it fits well with many today who turn God’s grace into a license to sin on some level. If my memory serves...

Who would you want with you on a deserted Island?

Alan Ballou is only quoting Scripture. So you are simply disagreeing with what Scripture says. (Note: Please see my updated note on him below). For example: 1 Timothy 6:12 says, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good...
