    The Key to Discipleship

So much is wrong that is being done today in the name of "tolerance" and "friendship" and "bridge-building"...yet God doesn't want us "tolerating" that spirit of Jezebel that seduces the people to commit fornication......which is compromise and spiritual adultery with the world (paganism) which...

    The Key to Discipleship

Brother, just recently the Lord in His goodness has been helping my understanding.. For the longest time I was confused and wavering where I saw mixture within both Christendom and Judaism. On the one hand there is this that is not good, but on the other hand there is that which is good...and...

    The Key to Discipleship

Amen. GOD's word though it may seem bitter at times to what is in our flesh, it is all out of God's LOVE for mankind, written for our GOOD.....if only we would eat of it (instead of eating deceptive humanistic words of men) and let it strengthen and WASH and sanctify us. The words of men can...

The (7th) Abomination That Maketh Desolate

Shedding of innocent blood is indeed an abomination to the Lord - including human sacrifice to idols. But look in Revelation and consider.....what ultimately (though I think not exclusively) brought the wrath of God upon Jerusalem/Israel.....was it not the murder of those early martyrs who had...

    The Key to Discipleship

Amen, amigo, thank you for sounding the alarm. It started out with being unequally yoked with unbelieving Jews/Israel.....and then this led to saying that Jews dont' really need the gospel, they are saved through the old covenant and just because God is merciful. (Which of course is strange...

Do you seek the Kingdom of God FIRST or still FIRST today, as a believer or as a seeker? Or in both conditions?

Lord bless you brother. It's no fun getting old that's for sure. It's all helping to prepare us for what lies ahead though, I believe. When we are weary of this life we will not be too upset to leave it when our time comes. :)

Do you seek the Kingdom of God FIRST or still FIRST today, as a believer or as a seeker? Or in both conditions?

Amen. I think of the prodigal son and how he asked for his inheritance beforetime....when he was evidently not yet ready for it. We can run ahead of the Lord at times.

Do you seek the Kingdom of God FIRST or still FIRST today, as a believer or as a seeker? Or in both conditions?

Don't want this to turn into a protracted debate because I think it will take us off the topic of the OP but just to mention the following for consideration: His kingdom comes not with our careful observation......clinches for me that we are not looking for an outward physical kingdom, like the...

Do you seek the Kingdom of God FIRST or still FIRST today, as a believer or as a seeker? Or in both conditions?

I dont' know if I'm understanding you properly....sometimes have trouble with reading comprehension these days....but I believe the seeking FIRST His kingdom has to do with seeking it first rather than seeking the things we need first. If we put His kingdom first, He will provide what we need...

Do you seek the Kingdom of God FIRST or still FIRST today, as a believer or as a seeker? Or in both conditions?

"Thy kingdom come..." Where you were mentioning how we are made of the dust of the earth.....His kingdom comes to "earth" any time someone comes to faith in Christ and receives Him into their earthen vessel. And Jesus said "if I by the finger of God cast out devils and heal the sick then the...

Do you seek the Kingdom of God FIRST or still FIRST today, as a believer or as a seeker? Or in both conditions?

Amen. That is part of the journey, realizing it. And some are further along on that journey than others for sure, and that encourages those of us who are coming up behind.

Do you seek the Kingdom of God FIRST or still FIRST today, as a believer or as a seeker? Or in both conditions?

Amen, that is our SURE foundation, not a delusion as some are calling it. We must not ever let anyone take it away from us.

Do you seek the Kingdom of God FIRST or still FIRST today, as a believer or as a seeker? Or in both conditions?

Good questions APAK. I don't have a binary, black and white, two-dimensional view of the kingdom....and I have a big problem with that view, which I regard as unspiritual, aka of the carnal mind. What I see in scripture is that the kingdom of God is something that we have entered by faith as...

    The Key to Discipleship

Amen. I believe it is about faith too....faith working through love....are we seeking to establish our own righteousness like those under the Law or are we SUBMITTING to (obeying) by faith the righteousness of Christ who is in us by faith? Those under the Law didn't seek it by faith and that is...

    The Key to Discipleship

ok Epi, I misunderstood this one. It looked like another personal jab, so I passed it over after my initial cursory look. My apologies. Yes I know the difference between having mercy and being unequally yoked. Glad you do too. How about that scrip I brought today that's says the...

    The Key to Discipleship

We only know in part........there are revealed things that belong to us but secret things that belong to God. That certainly doesn't mean we don't still need to grow in understanding in this life though...I consider we grow in every way....in knowledge, in understanding, in faith, in maturity...

    The Key to Discipleship

Oh sorry, I didn't mean that I didn't understand it......I meant that I can't get around it but have to accept what it says......that the mature in Christ will not consider that they have apprehended or "arrived". (Which seems contrary to what Epi is teaching.) There are two different Greek...

    The Key to Discipleship

The scripture says the earnest of the spirit is the down payment that guarantees the inheritance of eternal life, ie, redemption of the body. I don't see anything about it being the guarantee of a higher walk but a guarantee of the inheritance to come after this life is over. In the meantime I...

    The Key to Discipleship

Amen APAK......think we are on the same page, and even thinking of the same scriptures. The Lord is good, and I hear the Spirit in your voice.

    The Key to Discipleship

Eph 1:16-23 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what...
