    Integrity

*Waits for the inevitable follow up post accusing the op of "works based righteousness" for dare implying Christians must put in effort.* It's like Christianity Board Bingo. The free space is the accusation "legalist".

    Is Race A Myth?

No. Ethnicities have different cultures. But races? Just minor physical differences and thats it.

Shouldn't Races be Allowed to Segregate?

Believe it or not, I honestly couldn't care less. Races mixing does nothing to erase any of that. Right now, I'm carrying a baby who will not be fully one race or the other and I think it's a beautiful joyful gift. No amount of racial or cultural heritage preservation compares to her value...

    Is Race A Myth?

I used to be a bit dismissive of people saying "there's only one race---the human race". Like, oh that's a nice thought but then why are people so touchy about it? How come I'm never allowed to completely forget about modern race issues? But it's exactly true. I don't subscribe to the world's...

    How was your day?

Sleep was iffy. Feeling tired again. Going to a church event out of social obligation. At least there will be free food there.

    Is Race A Myth?

I was about to ask what that would look like if Christians rejected race. But I think it would likely look like the early Church: people of different ethnicities and classes taking care of each other's needs, sharing communion, and behaving like family. It was an incredible witness to the world.

    Is Race A Myth?

Etymology of the Word Caucasian Apparently in 1795, a German anthropologist named Johann Friedrich Blumenbach came up with five races that included the term Caucasian.

    Is Race A Myth?

From Wikipedia's article on race: The modern concept of race emerged as a product of the colonial enterprises of European powers from the 16th to 18th centuries which identified race in terms of skin color and physical differences.

    Is Race A Myth?

There was an article by Pastor Thabiti Anyibwile that explained that there is no biological basis for race. There are ethnicities and nationalities but race is just a made up concept based on the theory of evolution and Christians should reject it. I can't find the article anymore but it...

Shouldn't Races be Allowed to Segregate?

I think my husband would agree with you. His view is that using terms like "black culture" forces a collective view that's often full of negative stereotypes. My view is that this is true, but unavoidable and therefore not worth challenging. I cannot wake up and avoid being associated with...

Shouldn't Races be Allowed to Segregate?

It's actually refreshing. I don't like when people feel as though they can't ask questions about race because of modern politics.

Shouldn't Races be Allowed to Segregate?

I can't really help you too much. I use African American and black interchangeably. Growing up, when surveys ask me to identify with a race, the box always said African American, so Im just used to it for convenience and recognition's sake. Im not against the term because many black people in...

Shouldn't Races be Allowed to Segregate?

I don't believe in forced diversity or inclusion. But I also don't think any government resources should go to enforcing people's preferred races either. Growing up in America, in a melting pot of cultures, I have zero interest in the preservation of any race including my own. Case in point...

Shouldn't Races be Allowed to Segregate?

    What's bad about that?

    Mini Story: Scarf

You'll never be anything. You're nothing. The alpaca wool scarf was arranged carefully on the mannequin in the corner of the apartment. The green and navy fibers blended together in an ombre transition. Kendra would have paired it with a modest but quirky ensemble with mixed patterns and...

I might regret asking but you know how we're the Bride of Christ...?

So they are not saved, but they are to remain faithful? How? I don't agree with this statement. Ive heard it before. Not only does it seem unlike the character of a good Father, but where does Scripture say God commands us to do things we will fail at so we will turn to Christ? God expected...

    What is "OSAS"?

Awesome post! Popular theology refuted by multiple Scriptures. Love it!

I might regret asking but you know how we're the Bride of Christ...?

I think I read your free will breakdown three times...Im trying? Are you agreeing with me that mankind has free will because we live inside of time but there's technically no free will in heaven and in God's eyes?
