New Testament believers also had personal encounters with God. Saul became Paul after he was surrounded with light and heard the audible voice of the Lord. I've had a personal encounter with the Lord in the past. I will seek it again.

It's true that God's presence never leaves us whether we feel that it's there or not. But I do believe God can encounter us more personally while we are here on earth. I would say Moses experienced God more up close and personal than a lot of his peers. This is what Im after.

May leave reddit. Ill consider it. I joined because I thought I would enjoy engaging in AskAChristian type threads and witnessing. I still think its good if a believer is actively doing that. But I don't have time to dedicate to that.

A quiet life can make a difference. It's about God's power, not our strength.

I think we can definitely hear from God but we are to test the spirits. I don't think we should follow any voice that contradicts God's clear commands in the Bible. But I do think we can hear a still small voice and have the Holy Spirit direct us if we are still and are listening.
