how does the spirit connect with the body after death and is the body dead? (ressurection) ?

That is something that the Bible never tells us, "how" it happens, that is. We believe that it does because that's what the Bible tells us. Like the Trinitarian Godhead, the Virgin Birth, the Lord Jesus being both 100% human AND 100% God at the same time, God's transcendence, His omnipresence...

how does the spirit connect with the body after death and is the body dead? (ressurection) ?

Hello again Holy999, I'm not sure that I understand your question(?) To speak of something that is dead (and therefore inanimate) "waiting" seems a bit of an odd thought. It would be like asking how a rock waits ;) I suppose you could say "in the condition that it was buried in" and/or in a...

how does the spirit connect with the body after death and is the body dead? (ressurection) ?

Hello @Holy999, do you mean how is the spirit reunited with our body at the time of the resurrection of the dead, or did you mean something else? As far as our bodies go, the death that we suffer here is physical, so yes, it is, in point of fact, our physical bodies that die when we pass on...

Who Wrote the Books of Moses?

Hello Marks, since the Lord Jesus (when speaking with the Jews who were seeking to kill Him) told us that he did, I'm gonna go with "yes" as the answer to your question :) John 5 39 “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that...

Not to annoy you, but I get trouble with the ads on this board?

Question, how is this place supported? Is it via the ads alone, or can an individual choose to support CB.com financially if they want to? Thanks!! --Papa Smurf

Not to annoy you, but I get trouble with the ads on this board?

I started with the MS Edge browser and the ads were, indeed, annoying (as the ads moved, so did the text that I was trying my best to read). So I logged onto CB via my Brave Brower instead and there are no ads :) Just FYI, Brave Browser (which is free, of course) has the ad blocker built in and...

    Hello Everybody :)

See, this is what happens when you spend so much time in the Scriptures that you don't have time anymore to keep up with important cartoon shows like The Smurfs  Wait minute, that's actually a good thing

We're so lucky God is love and God is good. Ever thought about this?...

Hello again ButterflyJones, I suppose that we can discuss why God did what He did concerning the Midianites on another thread if you'd like to, but for now at least, my question remains, why do you identify as a "Christian" since you believe that God is some sort of malevolent monster? Thanks...

    Hello Everybody :)

Hello again Rita, Gargamel is an evil old man (an evil wizard, actually) who is the sworn enemy of the Smurfs, bent on their destruction (which includes eating them for dinner ), just FYI.

    Hello Everybody :)

And for the welcome too, of course :)

Thank you @lforrest. Very good to know. Unlimited editing time is, of course, my preference :)

Thanks @Lambano, I didn't understand that. One of the Christian forums that I post too pretty regularly now gives us 5 minutes to edit public posts AND PM's, and not a second more. I was never concerned about editing time until I started posting there. --Papa Smurf

You must be a lot better about not making mistakes that I am :vgood: Of course, as a staff member, you probably don't have a time limit on editing (I didn't when I was a mod on a different forum a few years ago). God bless you!! --Papa Smurf

Hello lforrest, that would be GREAT :) I often find myself posting pretty late at night and I end up making typos because I'm tired. 15 minutes would do, though 30 would be better (unless that's no pushing it too far), as I often notice my mistakes after leave and return to my computer for a...

We're so lucky God is love and God is good. Ever thought about this?...

Hello ButterflyJones, after reading this, I was surprised note that you list your "faith" as "Christian". If this is what you truly believe about YHWH, then why did you become and/or why do you remain a Christian? (if you don't mind me asking, that is) Thanks! --Papa Smurf

Greetings everyone, I'm new here, and I'm hoping that someone can tell me how long we have to go back and edit our posts after we've posted them :contemplate: Thank you for your help!! --Papa Smurf

What kind of posting restrictions are there?

Hello @7thMoon, I'm a brand new member today too, so I mostly just wanted to say, "hello and welcome to CB" :) As far as your question goes, I've been posting (on other forums) for years now, so maybe I can be helpful to you in some way here? What kind of problems are you experiencing when you...
