    As a general rule God shows up as a confirmation of his word. If the saint does not have a correct understanding of the scriptures, God will not be giving them any confirmation, simple as that.     The child will inherit the traits of the parent. his Father is God so he will be as well but he is still not his Father. So who is the Us in this passage. This is the Father talking to the Son or his word as Jesus was known back them. The statement is plural, not singular.
