    “Once For All”

Hi, and what question are you referring too? Thanks!
  2. Netchaplain

    “Once For All”

Our responsibility involves us "pleasing" God, as He "works" this in our hearts and minds (Phl 2:13).
  3. Netchaplain

    “Once For All”

Anything wrong that was not intended, i.e. wrath, jealousy, saying or doing something you realize that you did not want to say or do, etc.

    “Once For All”

Not freed from committing sin, nobody has that capability.

    “Once For All”

Why would a Christian desire to sin willfully? Maybe one who is young in maturity in Christ, until the Spirit guides him differently.

    “Once For All”

Hi Marks! Paul said he did not want to sin (Ro 7:15-20). To me, to "walk after the Spirit" is to always want to please God (Phl 2:13); this involves not committing willful sins (Heb 10:2).

    “Once For All”

Not "accidents" but unintentional, i.e. impulsive sins like jealousy, wrath, some thing said wrongfully, etc.; things that were not my intention.

    “Once For All”

Your not a Christian if you still sin willfully. Paul do not want to sin after he converted (Ro 7:15-20). Some people are mistaken, thinking Paul was not saved in Romans 7, or he was speaking about his life before rebirth. A sinner will not have a desire for God like he showed in Romans 7.

    “Once For All”

It's ok, but I never said "if you are a Christian, you have willfully sinned, and confessed it." It's if you're a Christian you no longer sin willfully. Thanks.

    “Once For All”

You're probably misunderstanding me. Nobody has been perfect through their entire life, we've all desired to sin prior to being reborn. You can discern between if you're sinning willfully or not. Nobody lives without sinning, and if it's intentional you're still not reborn (Heb 10:26).

    “Once For All”

True, a Christian will not sin willfully; God has replaced our desire for sin with the willing and to doing "of His good pleasure" (Phl 2:13).

    “Once For All”

Thanks for the support! Of course, this does not include "willful" sins (Heb 10:26).

    “Once For All”

I don't think it as if God has to keep re-forgiving (if that's a word); we do not keep going in and out of His forgiveness. Instead of asking for forgiveness, we can continue to thank Him for His forgiveness when we do wrongfully.

    “Once For All”

Yes they do, for many still lack the fundamentals (rudiments) of the Christian life.

    “Once For All”

Thanks for your reply! To me, living in sin is desiring to sin, i.e. "sinning willfully" (Heb 10:26); and our primary deliverance is, not from sinning, but from the "old man's) inability to cause us to want to sin, like Paul who did not want to sin; "Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no...

    Truth Personalized

The essence of a Christian is that, although he is upon the earth, he is heavenly; and how could he know and grow in that, unless by the revelation of a heavenly Man who is his Life (Col 3:4)? Who is or could be that heavenly Man but the Man Christ Jesus, Who, after having put away sin by the...

    Test Run

Some Christians believe that God can “Test Run” the soul. God doesn’t save you, then test you to see if you’re going to stay saved. I heard once that “everyone that should be saved, will be saved”—for there is a Book of Life “from the foundation of the world” (Rev 17:8—we were saved when the...

    Already Delivered

Many Christians are unaware that they are forgiven for all their sins! Otherwise Scripture could not state that we are already like Jesus (1Jo 4:17). Not in His sinlessness but in His guiltlessness! He knows you don’t want to sin, as Paul was delivered from desiring sin (Rom 7:15, 16, 19, 20...

    “Once For All”

The Christian's “forgiveness” is “once for all,” meaning that God’s forgiveness needs applied only “once” (Heb 10:10, 14), and which is never withdrawn, so it is continually unending and needs not to forgive over and over (unlike the Popish mass supports Christ sacrificing again during...

    In The Meantime

Satan was foiled in his attempt to turn the King aside from His divine path, but he succeeded with the servants (Satan can cause a believer to commit sin—but the sin will not be willful, as a sinner’s is—NC); and so the highest and best gift of God (salvation—NC) has been the occasion for the...
