Jesus' Crucifixion and Death, and Burial, were on consecutive days

Lady Crosstalk, re: "Some of the source of confusion is that the Roman Julian calendar and later Gregorian calendar reckoned days to begin and end at midnight. " And it appears you are using a midnight to midnight calendar day when you should be using a sunset to sunset calendar day.

Jesus' Crucifixion and Death, and Burial, were on consecutive days

Grailhunter, re: "Asking you. Why were they there?" And I told you that you can find the answer with Mark 16:1 and Luke 24:21.

Jesus' Crucifixion and Death, and Burial, were on consecutive days

Lady Crosstalk, re: "Wednesday night--> Jesus in the tomb..." A Wednesday night would have been over at least 9 hours by the time of the Messiah's death.

Jesus' Crucifixion and Death, and Burial, were on consecutive days

Grailhunter, re: "Why were the women at the tomb Sunday morning?" If by Sunday you mean the first day of the week, Mark 16:1 along with Luke 24:1 should give you the answer to your query. I'm surprised you didn't already know that.

    Three Days and Three Nights

bbyrd009, re: "...are these one of rstrats examples...? They aren't examples because they don't show where a daytime or a night time was forecast or said to be involved with an event when no part of a daytime or no part of a night time could have occurred.

    Three Days and Three Nights

Enoch111, re: "There's no need to get into fractions of days and nights." The Messiah specifically stipulated that 3 nights would be involved with His time in the "heart of the earth". A 6th day of the week death/1st day of the week resurrection does not allow for even a portion of a 3rd...

    Three Days and Three Nights

Enoch111, re: "There are really only two examples..." Perhaps you might provide the two examples where a daytime or a night time was forecast or said to be involved with an event when no part of a daytime or no part of night time could have occurred.

Jesus' Crucifixion and Death, and Burial, were on consecutive days

Phoneman777, re: "Jesus died on...Friday...and then arose...Sunday." How do you account for the lack of a 3rd night?

    Three Days and Three Nights

Davy, re: "The topic of this thread you started was the three days and three nights. So what I said is very relevant to that." The topic title was poorly conceived with regard to the intent of the topic. Unfortunately the title couldn't be edited once it was posted. However, it had been...

    Three Days and Three Nights

Davy, re: "567 replies, and anyone who wants to the know the event timings of Christ's deliverance, crucifixion, and resurrection are still required to use the old Hebrew calendar reckoning to discover the day He was crucified that aligns with 3 days and 3 nights to the time of Sunday morning...

    3d/3n is NOT an idiom!

CoreIssue, re: "For the Hebrews a day was from sunset to sunset. Any portion of a day counted as a day. Any portion of the night counted as a night." But when was no part of a night counted as a night?

    Three Days and Three Nights

Jay Ross, re: "Not if you have the right day for when the Lord died." But this particular topic is only concerned with a 6th day of the week crucifixion.

    Three Days and Three Nights

In thinking about it, I realize that it doesn't make any difference with regard to sunset versus sunrise; there would still be a lack of a third night.
