    Three Days and Three Nights

GerhardEbersoehn, re: "How many times have you used this escape route now?" Actually never, since I'm not "escaping" from anything. This topic is about one issue and your comments are about other ones. Start a new topic if you want to discuss those particular ones.

    Three Days and Three Nights

GerhardEbersoehn, re: "I also told YOU about the BONE-DAY. You haven't reacted, not even with something like, 'Trash!'; I don't know why not." Because that's an issue for a different topic. Perhaps you could start one.

    Three Days and Three Nights

GerhardEbersoehn, re: "... name the days in your view the correct ones..." I think scripture best supports a 5th day of the week death and a 1st day of the week resurrection. But that's an issue for a different topic.

    Three Days and Three Nights

That's what I was doing. You wrote that the Messiah died in the late afternoon on Wednesday and rose on the 1st day of the week. So Wednesday is calendar day 1 and afternoon is daytime 1. Thursday is calendar day 2 and night time 1 and daytime 2. Friday is calendar day 3 and night time 2...

    Three Days and Three Nights

GerhardEbersoehn, re: "So what IS your issue...?" 1. The Messiah said that three nights would be involved with His time in the "heart of the earth". 2. There are some who believe that the crucifixion took place on the 6th day of the week with the resurrection taking place on the 1st day of...

    Three Days and Three Nights

Enoch111, Since you're not a 6th day of the week crucifixion advocate you probably won't know of any examples. But maybe someone new looking in may know of some. By the way, your Wednesday to Sunday scenario involves 5 calendar days and at least 4 daytimes and 4 night times.

    Three Days and Three Nights

FHII, re: "People who believe it is an idiom point to the book of Ruth, but a careful reading does not prove its an idiom. In that case 3 days and 3 nights refers to the fast, not when Ruth went to see the king." I'm afraid I don't see that account in Ruth. What do you have in mind?

    Three Days and Three Nights

The topic title was poorly conceived with regard to the intent of the topic. Unfortunately the title couldn't be edited once it was posted. However, It was clarified in subsequent posts. Again, the topic request for examples is with regard to the commonality of forecasting a daytime or a night...

epostle1, I'm afraid your comments deal with issues for a different topic.

Maybe someone new looking in may know of examples.

    Three Days and Three Nights

Andre, BTW, how do you reconcile a 7th day of the week resurrection with Luke 24:21?

    Three Days and Three Nights

Andre, OOPS, I missed seeing that you edited your post.

    Three Days and Three Nights

Andre, re: "Is it not true that... Jesus was Crucified ...at about the 9th hour (3pm)?" Actually, Mark 15:25 says it was the third hour. re: "Is not the High Sabbath the 1st day of UB? The 15th?" Not according to Mark 14:12 which says; "Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they...

Why I could personally never chose to be Catholic

Marymog, re: "Scripture says that The Church is the pillar and foundation of truth. Is that not true?" The trick of course is knowing which church is "The Church". Scripture calls it the "church of God" and many organizations want to claim that distinction.

Does anyone have the code sheet that helps translate GE's cryptic posts?

    The Last Supper !

GerhardEbersoehn, re: " 'rstrats' you very well know..." It was a question to ScottA because I did not know to what day of the month he was referring when he wrote "evening".

    Three Days and Three Nights

Taken, re: "If you are counting in your words; "part of the crucifixion", as ANY PART of the time Jesus' body was ON THE CROSS..." I didn't say "part of the crucifixion" and stop there. I said "part of the crucifixion day's night time". In your post #410, you counted the night time of...

Why I could personally never chose to be Catholic

epostle1, re: "You must be another blind cultist. SDA, or JW." That is incorrect. And why did you include JWs since they are 1st day of the week observers? re: "Matt. 28:1; Mark 16:2,9; John 20:1,19- the Gospel writers purposely reveal Jesus’ resurrection and appearances were on Sunday."...

Why I could personally never chose to be Catholic

epostle1, re: "Sunday is known throughout 99% of Christendom as the day the Lord has made." He also made the other six days. re: "This reflects a total misunderstanding of the Early Church Fathers, who they were, and how they contributed to the development of the Church. We know they are...

    Three Days and Three Nights

Harvest 1874, This topic doesn't really apply to those who don't think that the "heart of the earth" is referring exclusively to the tomb.
