The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

You didn’t answer my questions from the previous post: What do you mean by “doers of the word”? What do “doers of the word” actually DO? Please tell me. According to you, works are directly proportional to faith, so how much “faith” do you need to be saved? Can you tell me? If you can’t...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

In Rev 2 and 3, Jesus judges the seven Churches according to what they did right and what they did wrong (which includes their faith and their works, if you care to read those chapters). You will be judged the same way, I imagine.

Not by works - but by faith

Nowhere in the Bible does it say salvation is through “faith alone”. Furthermore, “faith (rightly understood) in Christ” includes obeying Christ - which means “keeping His commandments” (1John 2:3-4) - which is “works” - which is what James means when he says “a man is justified by works and...

Not by works - but by faith

I don’t see how that verse/passage supports your argument that believers cannot lose their faith. Those who John says “were not of us” were those who denied that “Jesus is the Christ”, so it doesn’t apply to all those atheists - some of whom were Christian pastors - who were professing...

Are You Free From The Law?

I don't recall saying God will "let you get away with the sin of stealing". Furthermore, it's odd that you say God will not let you get away with stealing ten cents, but at the same time claim that the blood of Christ will cover every and any sin you will ever commit!

Are You Free From The Law?

So if a believer is a serial adulterer, he will be a hypocrite but still be saved?

Are You Free From The Law?

In that case, you and every other believer is a hypocrite, because all believers sin. You seem to be contradicting yourself - if you know something is sinful but sin anyway, out of weakness, that is the same as knowingly breaking the commandment, is it not?

Are You Free From The Law?

Bad analogy - a human court judges only one crime in a person's life. A human court does not judge a person's entire life and whether or not that person is worthy of salvation. On the other hand, God will judge a person's entire life and decide their eternal fate. ... except I didn't do that...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

You didn't answer my question. You say Abraham had "true faith", so when he obeyed God (with respect to sacrificing his son Isaac), was his obedience a "work of God" (as you call it) or was it the result of Abraham using his free will to obey? I'm asking you this because you claim that...

Are You Free From The Law?

Why does Jesus tell certain believers in Matt 7:21-23, "I never knew you" and condemn them to Hell for their "lawlessness"?

Are You Free From The Law?

What happens if a believer gives in to every temptation and sins? Is he still saved? If so, what is the point of repenting and forsaking the works of the flash, etc? Can a married believer commit adultery with a hundreds of mistresses and still be saved, for example? Can a homosexual...

Are You Free From The Law?

If a believer is not bound by any laws, how did Judas end up in Hell?

Are You Free From The Law?

I see. So if I stole ten cents, but donated $10,000 to charity, I will be judged solely on the ten cents I stole. Boy, I'm sure glad I won't be judged by your unjust and stupid God!!

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

okay, let's consider the case where God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his son, Isaac: Abraham obeyed God's commandment, so was Abraham obedience the "work of God" or was it the result of Abraham's free will?

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

In that case, Catholicism is not salvation by works.

Are You Free From The Law?

Why does Paul warn BELIEVERS in Romans 6 that the wages of their sins is "death"? Why does Paul warn BELIEVERS in Gal 5 that their sins can lead them to Hell?

Are You Free From The Law?

More evasion. Are my questions too difficult for you to answer? Okay, here are some different questions: Is there a law that says believers cannot murder, rape and steal? If not, this means a believer is free to do these things, does it not?

Are You Free From The Law?

What planet are you on? There are probably hundreds of child rapists in jails right now who were professing Christians when they committed those crimes. There would be many thousands of believers who are presently in jail for committing all sorts of serious crimes. You seem to think faith...

Are You Free From The Law?

Sorry, but you’re barking up the wrong tree here. In the first part of Gal 5, Paul certainly is referring to the false teachers who were insisting on circumcision for the Galatian believers. Paul opposes this because he reasons that if you keep one aspect of Mosaic Law, you must keep it all...
