Are You Free From The Law?

Why does Paul warn believers (Gal 5) thatt their sins can lead them to hell? Sounds like sin can destroy any "grace" and any hope of salvation they had.

THE AGE OF MAN IS OVER ONE MILLION YEARS

I believe that passage refers only to the death of humans. Did God create cheetahs to run at 60mph to chase vegetation, or to chase other animals? Before the Fall, if an elephant stood on an ant, did the ant die?

THE AGE OF MAN IS OVER ONE MILLION YEARS

God tells us only what we need to know. If the universe really is billions of years old, who can say what transpired in that time?

THE AGE OF MAN IS OVER ONE MILLION YEARS

Thank you for your concern, but I've haven't caught the plague just yet.

Not by works - but by faith

If they were believers and then became unbelieving atheists, they have lost their faith in Christ, wouldn't you say? If they've lost their faith, have they lost the "seal" of the HS? Yes or No? ... stop beating about the bush.

THE AGE OF MAN IS OVER ONE MILLION YEARS

There is a world of difference between inanimate matter per se and inanimate matter worked on by God Almighty. Believing that inanimate matter can arrange itself naturally into a living cell is unscientific and pure fantasy.

THE AGE OF MAN IS OVER ONE MILLION YEARS

Evolutionary science is often not objective and is dominated by atheists and their wishful thinking, some of which morphs into downrght unscientific fantasy. I mean, for starters, we're talking about dreamers who think something as ridiculously complex as a living cell arose by blind chance...

Not by works - but by faith

Which Catholic doctrine condones murder and burning people at the stake? Yahweh condoned stoning someone to death for gathering firewood on the Sabbath - that was what the law of Moses demanded. . Is that any better or worse than burning someone to death for heresy? If you walk away from...

Not by works - but by faith

Doesn't answer my question. The seal of the HS comes as a result of believing the gospel (Eph 1). There are many former believers (even former Christian pastors) who had the seal of the HS, but lost their faith, fell from grace and are now atheists. Do they still have the seal of the HS?

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

2Tim 3:16 says Scripture can make a man “complete” with respect to “every good work”. Salvation depends on more than “every good work”.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Does grace mean a believer can commit unlimited sins and still be saved? There are Christians converts in South America who once worked for drug cartels, which involved torturing and murdering people on command. Their conversion meant they realized that what they were doing was sinful, so they...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

James said “a man is justified by works and not by faith alone” and “faith without works is dead”, which means works are just as essential to salvation as faith is. If a serial killer becomes a believer, but does repent and he keeps on killing, will he be saved? Of course not! So works can...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

What does James mean by "works"? James asks, “What does it profit, my brethren, if a man says he has faith but not works?” (James 2:14). Notice that James says, “if a man SAYS he has faith”, not “if a man HAS faith” … implying that talk is cheap and means nothing - it is only through works...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

He will save us if we prove ourselves "worthy" (Rev 3:40 by abiding in Christ until the end. That's God word. Jesus said believers will never die - but believers do die. Please explain. You seem to have a problem with logical thinking - how can you be “saved” before Christ judges you? If...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Which part of that passage says we are saved before Christ judges us after we die?

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Truth really matters to me too - that’s why I left non-Catholic forms of Christianity behind and returned to the Catholic Church, which is “the pillar and foundation of the truth” (1Tim 3:15).

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

So what? You’re trying to read something into Titus 3:5 that simply isn’t there - it doesn’t say works are irrelevant to salvation, but that we are not saved by “good works” alone. Paul makes the same point in Romans -that no one is saved by works alone. If works are irrelevant to salvation...
