Scriptures that trinitarians Don't Want You to Know About - #5, Book of Acts

Of course all analogies fail but if taken just as a sketch of the oneness and threeness of God it could work. Taken too far it could cause problems due to the "splitting" and might cause someone to think of partialism as the explanation of the Trinity.

    Eating pork

Because Christ declared all foods clean, simple as that. Doesn't mean you have to eat it (I don't) but simply it is not against God to do so. “Listen to me, all of you, and understand: There is nothing outside of a person that is able to defile him by going into him. But the things that go out...

    What Is Preterism?

I thought the claim of many preterists was simply that Matthew 24 is not about the Second Coming (as defined in the Creed, the Resurrection of the Dead, Final Judgment, and World to Come, the totality of which is commonly called the "Second Coming"). I fail to understand how it is allegorizing...

    What Is Preterism?

So if I understand the central point here (focusing on Matthew 24 as I am studying the Gospel of Matthew daily currently), is that because it says "all... shall see" in 30 that it means all must see actually or else it was not fulfilled? Then what of prophecies like the ones quoted above where...

    Dispensational problems

Indeed, I am simply saying that the first and only Crucifixion was one. And amen, it's best that even your enemies not be misrepresented for we should love all as the Lord commanded.

    Dispensational problems

Isaiah 53:7-8 quoted in Acts 8 of Christ: "He, because of his affliction, opens not his mouth: he was led as a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is dumb, so he opens not his mouth. In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: who shall declare his generation? for his...

    Dispensational problems

This is true and it's unfortunate. It's why St. James said "not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness." Those who are raised in such are often not at fault, those who knowingly teach error (as the many people quoted...

    Dispensational problems

Thank you for this thread, I have been learning about Dispy folks recently and their errors. This and #26 in which they act like fleshly Jews are some of the biggest.

Scriptures that trinitarians Don't Want You to Know About - #5, Book of Acts

The Israelites of old and the Jews of today are two different groups. I do not care about what they (the Jews of today) think, it's a false bloodless religion. I am of the same religion as Abraham, Israel is one. You have not defined being, and I never said 3 is 1. I am aware of your signature...

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

On the Wiki it said they did it to their children, so I'd imagine quite young. It does make me wonder if you can ever tell the age of a tattoo from how it looks, and some of those images they look kind of worn, but then again a lot of the women are older (save that green drawing of one).

    What is Mariology?

I'd agree with that (I do not disagree or contend any single verse in the Scriptures for God inspired them and like I said, they are as a Verbal Incarnation of Christ, being all about Him and revealing Him), although it is not inconsistent with structures in the Church, as seen from the Pastoral...

    What is Mariology?

I do agree although we probably disagree about Church structure and authority. Ultimately if the Spirit is in it then the doctrine will be exactly the same, but I do think God has made an authoritative body that will always be in the world until He comes again and one should attach themselves to it.

    What is Mariology?

Why would it not be found in a body like that? The Apostles established Churches with Bishops, presbyters, deacons, they wrote to them and instructed them, and here I even include the 72 that went into the whole empire. Their doctrine was received and passed down, even the Scriptures themselves...

    What is Mariology?

Scripture is God's Word, some have said it is like a Verbal Incarnation of Christ and an icon of God in this way, nothing can overrule that. It is simply the sense that Scripture is interpreted in must be in the context God gave for it. That was what the St. Vincent quote means. We are to reject...

    What is Mariology?

It's definitely a final authority, although it can not be the final one for God Himself is an authority who is above it and teaches how it should be used and read. Not to mention that not all in the Church have had it or can use it, and the problem of discriminating between the plausible...

    Thank you. God bless.

    What is Mariology?

If a thing isn't documented we can't make claims about it or prove it? Are there no other sources of knowledge? That seems to be an assumption from your culture and place in time living in a writing-heavy society, and has nothing to do with the Scriptures. I know there are other sources of...

    The simplicity of the Gospel

Amen! When I compare God's grace and mercy to human mercy and what we consider graciousness it truly seems insane, like God is insanely and madly in love with us that He would even offer such a thing, despite the sin, despite refusing Him, He will still give grace. May God be blessed who gave us...

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

Thank you for explaining your point, it is what I thought it was but I had to make sure. For the first point concerning 2 Corinthians making null the relationships He had through His humanity since you believe that He had natural brothers as far as I know I'd like to know why St. Paul continues...

Scriptures that trinitarians Don't Want You to Know About - #5, Book of Acts

If that's what you mean then that doesn't contradict the Trinity though, and I would assert it with you. Jack and Jill are two persons. The Father and Son are two persons. One nature does not make many persons the same person. We don't assert that at all. Do you think Trinitarians are...
