    Power and Love.

All good - and any comments welcome. This was a general exhortation to would-be Church Leaders. 'Love and Power' is His Love and His Power. We need to rethink how we gather and 'do church' It is all there in Scripture but we have largely let tradition dictate our thinking about such things.

    Power and Love.

It seems a main contention regarding the function of Church today boils down to the relationship between power and love. We have those who quote 1 Cor 13 as if its message eclipses 1 Cor 12 - yet the great commission and indeed the actions of early believers confirm that unity and community was...

    Is anyone else a Seer?

Yes, and these ministries empower the Church - and churches that deny this empowering, become museums of a faith that once was. God's formula for success in preaching to the lost, is Love and Power. There is no 'better way' Love was never to be without Power, but power without love is deception...

    Is anyone else a Seer?

So the same ability to 'see' in the same way. How long have the others been experiencing this? Are the church leaders aware of this ?

    Is anyone else a Seer?

Yes... each prophet is accountable to the rest of the prophets. Back then there was a fellowship of the prophets but this grouping is almost unheard of today.

    Is anyone else a Seer?

    Yep... the collective of prophets.

    Is anyone else a Seer?

Eyes have been opened by the Spirit of God for sure, but not commonly in the way you describe.

    Is anyone else a Seer?

Yes - and faith comes from Hearing the Word of Christ. So hear first then act. Even Jesus could only do what He saw the Father doing in the moment.

    Is anyone else a Seer?

I was referring to the seeing of His Spirit on folks - is this constant? The very first temptation was to individuate the desire to know. This was also similar to the way Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness. The temptation to individually act without seeing what the Father wants. It is wise...

    Is anyone else a Seer?

I think for me the way you describe it is as if the gift is always 'turned on' whereas for me when I receive some ability from the Lord I give it back and ask that it be subject to His Wisdom. I am not a fan of the idea that His Gifts operate under our control. Nor do I claim every question...

    Is anyone else a Seer?

Peter has taken his spin on the Trinity elsewhere.

Peter, What is your take on John 17 - Jesus shares the same Name as the Father and co-existed with Him before creation...

Johann, Welcome aboard our Friendly Bible Study. We have created a safe space and have two conditions for participants. First to agree with the Nicene Creed and second to refrain from debating the trinity. We have also shared our testimonies so I encourage you to do this. We want to make...

I guess I don't agree - Abraham is the Father of all who have faith - He is an example for all of us and we follow Jesus in faith just as he did. God is available to us today as He was in Abrahams day. Sure the content of the promises given to him were unique, but we all have our promised land...

I consider the dispensation concept somehow contradicts His willingness to work with us in any age and lowers expectations of revival now. We are missing out on so much because we think the time has not yet come, or has passed, when He says today is the day of salvation. It just needs the...

No... the Holy Spirit intensifying on the unsaved has a very different outcome. It has nothing to do with regeneration.

Friendly Bible Study - participants must agree to Nicene Creed.

(Acts 2:17) Why is all flesh a problem when the Holy Spirit convicts the WORLD of sin , righteousness and judgement? (John 16:8) Does this not speak of increased power and activity Globally which results in increased repentance among the unsaved as well as increased conviction and guidance and...

    For now... not sure ???

Reader Poll - Where did the Bible come from?

In Acts 2 - they broke bread from house to house, and had communal meals. They didn't operate like a 'Mega church''. Consider the Megachurch parallels to Babel... Gathering all in one place and building a monument to themselves. Agreement but not unity. Pride a driver. Building material...
