The Bliss of Religious Homeostasis - Don't Rock the Boat

Stephen I am presenting an honest heart felt response to your question. Can we stick to the topic rather than slipping into being personal ?

The Bliss of Religious Homeostasis - Don't Rock the Boat

My thesis is for general reading, answering the question you raised. it is not directed at anyone personally.

The Bliss of Religious Homeostasis - Don't Rock the Boat

Wrong, that is not the definition. It is about how we hold our questions. Questions are good, but selfish demand for answers is not. An enquiring mind is a good gift. A Loving God does not feed you with information you don't need to know.

The Bliss of Religious Homeostasis - Don't Rock the Boat

Gagging is suppressing - I am not advocating that at all. Sounds like you have not understood what I am saying. Don't you think He knows what we need to know?

The Bliss of Religious Homeostasis - Don't Rock the Boat

It is how we learn that is important. He promises to give each one wisdom according to the need. He maps our our individual paths of fruitfulness. He knows what we need to know. So our quest for knowledge needs to be in His hands not ours. It needs to match our calling. The sin in the...

How to know : if you are going to Hell.

How then is there any legitimate reward for the obedience of a believer if the actions are not his/hers ?

How to know : if you are going to Hell.

No matter how much you want to or how hard you try you can't turn into a bird and fly around for a day. Every living being is existing within limits set by God. However there are choices within the lmits He has set.

What did Jesus die to save us from?

There is no gaging here... I can do no more than testify to a Holy and Loving Father and present what we read in the Scripture. For whatever reason you seem to be walking on another road. I have a life full of testimonies that align with the biblical record and a deep thankfulness regarding...

How to know : if you are going to Hell.

Yes we are on the same page... Incidentally I don't believe in absolute free will - it is always limited free will.

How to know : if you are going to Hell.

I think you might be getting your "we's" mixed up. The unsaved cannot please God. We are not the unsaved. We have the choice to obey the Spirit or the flesh - our obedience will be rewarded.

What did Jesus die to save us from?

The answer is simple. Consider the Fear of God that fell on the Church at its inception. This was a Holy Fear. I have encountered this personally and it was life changing. It is a pure fear, a righteous fear, yet a terrible fear. The Church at it's birth saw individuals struck down in His...

What did Jesus die to save us from?

2 Pet 2:6 He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example of what is coming for the ungodly; Rom 11 33 Oh, the depth of the riches, both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable...

How to know : if you are going to Hell.

Then why state this - "Foreknowledge is God knowing what He will do, not Him looking to see what a person will do." Do you think He can't already see what we will do ? Or maybe you don't think we have any free will at all - just robots ? ?

How to know : if you are going to Hell.

This thesis assumes God is bound by time and can't see human action before it has happened. I believe God is fully outside of time and sees all events before they occur. Prophetic detail of future events confirms this is the case.
