The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

So according to you, Jesus is against the existence of leaders in the Church? If so, why was the early Church led by the apostles and later have bishops? The following passages clearly demonstrate that the Church has leaders?: “But we beg you brethren, to respect those who labor among you...

Not by works - but by faith

Your ignorance is never-ending. FYI, when the Mass was said in Latin, every Catholic had access to a written translation of the liturgy into their own language, so every Catholic could understand exactly what was being said. Check whether they are “actually Biblical”? That would be putting the...

Not by works - but by faith

If what you describe is true, it is the Pope’s personal opinion of Islam - Catholics are obliged to accept and believe only Catholic doctrine, not a Pope’s personal opinion.

Not by works - but by faith

Meanwhile, back in the real world … Ask a thousand (non-Catholic) pastors for their interpretation of the NT, and you will get a thousand different answers. That’s why there are thousands of different (non-Catholic) churches and denominations.

Huh? My comments in that post have nothing whatsoever to do with Catholic doctrine regarding the Eucharist.

I guess I could ignore your moronic drivel.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

You have a vivid imagination, I'll grant you that. Even if your amusing claim is correct, which verse say "Thou shalt not wear a hat that is (supposedly) shaped like a fish"?

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

I love this stuff - it downright hilarious! Seriously, some folks are so gullible - it's kinda disturbing what they're willing to believe.

So what? David Koresh probably said the same thing. So have lots of folks who were mentally ill.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

There is no doubt that there some Catholics have sinned grossly and make terrible mistakes, giving the Church a bad name. The Church is both divine and human - the divine part is perfect; the human part is far from perfect.

Wow, are you really that gullible and easy to fool?

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Which verse say "Thou shalt not wear a fancy hat and use high-sounding titles"? Wait ... don't tell me you're inventing fake laws, like the Pharisees did!

The same way He has since the very beginning of Christianity - have you ever heard of "the Church"? That same original Church still exists today - it's called the Catholic Church

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

According to you, if I call my biological father, “Father”, I have disobeyed Jesus, for He said, “call no man your father upon the earth” (Matt 23:9). Did the Holy Spirit inspire you to come up with this interpretation? If so, the Holy Spirit must be an idiot!

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

You didn’t answer my question, so I’ll try again: Catholics are baptized and accept Christ as their Lord and Savior, so how can you say they are “perishing without Christ”? You don’t know that the “good thief” on the cross next to Jesus knew the Old Testament. He may not have been a Jew or a...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

I don’t think Paul lied, but if I understand you properly, you claim that when Paul speaks of being “instruct(ed) … for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ” (2Tim 3:15), he is referring exclusively to the Scriptures. But the Scriptures Paul is referring to in this verse are “the Sacred...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

First of all, this verse doesn't say works are irrelevant to salvation - it says works alone don't lead to salvation. Secondly, no one is saved until after they die and are judged and granted salvation by Christ. Thirdly, if works are irrelevant to salvation, please explain the following...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Good point. If the Holy Spirit provides each and every believer with the same infallible interpretation of Scripture, every believer would have the same interpretation - ie, the interpretation of the HS. But that is not reality. So I call it “your” interpretation, because the reality is...

Which part of 2Tim 3:16-17 says God communicates to us only through the Scriptures?
