Yes I relate to that experience. However there are plenty of biblical examples of the prophet accurately predicting events of the future. The Book of Revelation is a prime example and I can list many more...

I think a lot of the questions dissolve as we encounter Him. And yet this should be a collective exercise. I think the 'very elect' will not be deceived because they are in healthy fellowship in which unity grows and the gifts of discernment can operate and the prophetic voice is not muted...
