Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

Most Trinitarians can't agree on the interpretation of 2:5 Phil. That verse simply states that Jesus was equal in appearance and glory. FORM is the word morphē and it implies the external appearance, NOT internal attributes. Genesis 1:1 (KJV)

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

Yep! One word. That really proves an argument!

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

That's irrelevant. The Trinity doctrine teaches that Jesus was 100% God and 100% man at the same time. The typical trinitarian excuse is always, "that's was his Human nature." If the Father, Jesus, and the holy spirit were co-equal, Jesus would not have said the Father is greater, he would...

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

You can inject the trinity anywhere you like, but it proves nothing.

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

That was the thinking of the Pharisees. But right after Jesus expressed his subordination to God by saying he could do nothing on his own.

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

That's what makes the Trinity doctrine completely incoherent. I've learned over the years that the most logical and simple interpretation is usually the correct one. There's nothing logical or simple about the Trinity. You haven't answered any of my questions. Is there a reason for that...

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

That's a typical cop out. Pentecostal's and the typical Christian build themselves up by putting others down. Even if you're not a Pentecostal, that doesn't work. That also means that nobody has the Holy Spirit since Christians can't agree on anything.

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

No. There aren't three distinct persons present at Jesus' baptism. The holy spirit has no name. Jesus is there, the Father is there, the holy spirit is there but that means there's an angelic host present. NOT one single nameless person. The three being there doesn't represent co-equality...

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

Three persons? The holy spirit is not ONE person but many persons. The holy spirit emanates from the Throne of God and is the seven spirits of God. Why doesn't 'he' have a name? Why is this 'third person' NOT found in or around the Throne of God? Why is the holy spirit called, the power of...

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

One word replies do nothing for the discussion.

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

Just because the three are mentioned doesn't mean they are members of a co-equal trinity.

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

I say trinity = wrong Christ. Did you catch what I said earlier? The trinity teaches that all three are co-equal. If that's the case, can you explain why Jesus said in Mathew 12:41.... Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy...

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

To say Jesus is equal to God has an overwhelming number of contradiction problems. I go with the least contradictory interpretation. There is no such thing as a Trinity. Triads of Gods existed in several cultures. The Babylonians, Sumerians, Hindu's and others had triads of Gods...

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

The Pharisees believed that because Jesus said God was his Father, to them, that made him equal to God. Jesus never said he was God, never said he was equal to God, and he is never called God the son. I don't believe the Pharisees. After the Pharisees said that, that's when Jesus rebuked...

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

Show me the context. I believe Jesus when he said the Father is greater. I believe him when he said he doesn't know the day or hour of his return. I believe him when he says he can do nothing on his own. I also believe him when he said blasphemy against him will be forgiven but blasphemy...

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

Jesus said, "Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise." Jesus speaks what the Father wants him to speak. If he was equal to...

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Been there, done that, it's a beautiful thing. So what are you getting at?

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

Well I'm not a Pentecostal. So it depends what you mean? Do I believe the Holy Spirit is the same person as Jesus and God. Absolutely not. I have the holy spirit in the same measure most people do who confess Christ as their Savior.

Proof of the Trinity. No takers?

I can accept the deity of Christ to a point, but that would take some explaining. I certainly don't accept the trinitarian view that he is equal to the Father.
