    Watching and Growing

In the days of Moses and the Law, many among Israel were fearful of a relationship with God, they knew He expected them to live a godly lifestyle by their own power according to His holiness (Lev 11:44; 20:7, etc.). This was often accompanied with dread among those believing in God, who often...

    A Worthy Retro-post

Reckoning to be “dead to sin” (Rom 6:11) does not free us from sin’s guilt, this was eternally established at rebirth. Reckoning or believing we’re dead to sins guilt establishes freedom from the old man’s “dominion” (Ro 6:14) in our minds, conscience and walk! Identification (compiled by...

    Body Beautiful

God used one man—Adam—to begin a race of beings in which He was to reveal in the universe His love, by creating man (second to the trinity concerning significance) in His “image” and after His “likeness.” He used one man—Noah—to manifest to the world afterwards the urgency of His “righteousness”...

    Comes the Dawn

After being saved, increasing our walk in Christ’s image (Eph 4:15; 1Jo 2:6), which is by the Spirit through His Word, is the primary work concerning everything so that we can “draw close to God” (Jas 4:8) in our earthly fellowship with Him, and therefore be used more effectively by the Lord...

    The Sinless Human

I appreciate your ingenuous desire for the Word of Truth, but I think we are too far apart in our understandings to continue with this subject. Maybe another subject another time? God's blessings to your Family!

    The Sinless Human

I think I understand your point, but the body is also going to be "redeemed" (Rom 8:23). He will take our old body and change it into a new one (Rom 8:11), unless you are referring to a different issue. We would be in agreement if by "flesh" you mean the sin nature, and not the physical body.

    The Sinless Human

It's ok, but here is where we differ in understanding. Paul describes himself and a regenerate man in Ro 7. Nearly all Bible commentators, esp. two of the most popular from a few centuries ago, believe Paul was being descriptive as a Christian. The entirety of his discourse demonstrates...

    The Sinless Human

It's my understanding that Paul in Ro 7 manifests that he still had the sin nature because he saw that he still sinned, but the victory is that he no longer desired to sin ("no longer I," in his new nature, as you've mentioned - vs 17, 20), because he was no longer "after the flesh," or no more...

    The Sinless Human

Good points, but the perfection of Christ incarnated was not in relation to His spirit, soul and walk, only to HIs body. He didn't need to assume human nature (not suspecting anyone of saying so) beyond that which is the body because He used it to take the guilt and dominion of our sin nature...

    The Sinless Human

Good points again! The article is to demonstrate that Jesus Christ didn't have to be fully human--with the nature.

    The Sinless Human

Pretty good points! I would say Jesus Christ was perfect in His nature, thus perfect in His walk and manner of lifestyle. It's the nature of a being that determines the quality of the spirit and soul, thus He being without the sin nature (old man) could not sin, or where would be the "spotless"...

    The Sinless Human

Always appreciate your replies! It's my understanding that the more important issue for those reborn is the guiltlessness, because as long as we're here, the "old man" (sin nature) will indwell and affect our lives, but no longer in a dominative manner (Ro 6:12, 14), i.e. it can no longer cause...

    The Sinless Human

I'm always encouraged in you replies and thankful for your comments. I also think we are of like understanding most of the time, which is not often in my fellowship with most in my nearly 45 years of study, even concerning the church I attend. The Reformation recovered much concerning salvation...

    The Sinless Human

Some believe that, but the only likeness of Christ's incarnation to man was His body and the accompanying "infirmities" (Heb 4:15; 5:2). Other than our sins on Him, the only part of Him that had to die was His body. He had nothing within Him like the "old man" that we possess that had to be...

    The Sinless Human

I'm still looking for the YouTube one on John but here's one on RC, and he says Jesus could have sinned if He chose to, or what would be the sense in Him being tempted?

    The Sinless Human

The Lord Jesus was fully human physically but not spiritually, that is, He had the nature of our body but not the nature of our soul (the soul being the reasoning entity of our spirit). The nature of a human soul is sinful, but the nature of Christ’s soul was sinless! Thus only Christians have...

    Infinite, Eternal Kingdom

“That I may know Him” (Phl 3:10). The more the child of God knows the Father and the Son, the more he longs to know. He comes to his Father to find fresh delight, and to be filled anew with Joy. “That your joy may be full” (Jhn 16:24; 1Jo 1:4) is a word for eternity as well as for time. Here our...
