The "gospel" is an interesting topic. :) Jesus preached the "gospel of the Kingdom". We tend to preach a "gospel of salvation " in the modern version of the church. I wonder what the difference is? :) Jesus also stated that He will not return until the gospel of the KINGDOM is preached to...

I would say salvation is a growing relationship, out of which good works can come. Religion is about works attempting to build a relationship. See what I did God? Now you have to approve me...I deserve it! :)

Blood had to be shed...human blood...blood with life in it. And He did that for us.

Jesus willingly shed His perfect blood to answer God's demand for Justice against sin, and His mercy applied that payment to our sins, if we will just believe on His Son.
