    God's Will vs God's Desire

Appreciate your comments, and I believe it helped me see that I need to better explain what I mean by "Everyone does God's will."

    God's Will vs God's Desire

Right, things become ever more unclear to those who desire not God. To me, the Romans passage is saying that regardless of what unbelievers claim to not believe, nature itself is enough to confirm in their mind that He is real. Non can get around it and are "unexcused."

    God's Will vs God's Desire

Hi, and thanks for the reply and comments! I like this point you make. I think if God coerced anyone He would be "trespassing." If the light of nature doesn't cause one to seek God, nothing will. I do not think there are any true atheists: Paul wrote that all men unavoidably (when matured) come...

    God's Will vs God's Desire

Everything that transpires in life is supposed to occur, otherwise it wouldn't happen, because nothing happens without God's foreknowledge and Him allowing it to come to pass! Everyone does God's will, but most do not to do His desires! Even though it has always been that God “desires all men...

    Love Trials

HI, and thanks for the reply! Best little passage in the entirety of Scripture here. It's the purpose of all things concerning glorifying God. It also answers to it being "a new commandment" (Jhn 13:34), in that the old commandment was to love others in the way you love yourself.

    Love Trials

“I will allure her and bring her into the wilderness and speak tenderly unto her” (Hosea 2:14). “As we begin to grow, we are governed; as we begin to mature, we are allured.” -MJS “By trial our Father reveals we can suffer His will as well as do it. By trial He weans us from the world, draws...

    The Infinite Contrast

Thanks for the input, and instructional comment here. The next article I'm posting centers on being thankful for the blessings, but being centered of the Blesser, i.e. as you mentioned, "look to God and His image (Col 1:15 - His Son).

    The Infinite Contrast

In the early chapters of Genesis (1-5) we learn of the first Adam and his descendants, while in the early chapters of John (1-5) we learn of the last Adam, His words and works. Let us carefully consider some of the infinite differences and contrasts between these two men. In Genesis One the...

Thanks and always good to see your posts! Amen, more context, more understanding.

    A Word on 2Peter 2:20, 21

Always good to see your posts! You make a very good point here, that false teachers only have the knowledge of Christ and not Christ. Their "escape" is false and only a hypocritical relief.

    A Word on 2Peter 2:20, 21

Unlike "resisting the Spirit," "quenching (1Th 5:19) the Spirit" only delays His work of conformity in the walk of saved souls. But "resisting the Spirit" (Act 7:51) keeps unsaved souls from Him, thus from receiving Christ. The "escape" presented in 1Co 10:13 is something every believer will...

    A Word on 2Peter 2:20, 21

Good point, and not opposing your understanding but just presenting mine, it's only those who follow their teachings, of which who are "made merchandise" - v 3 - which were always many, seeing most never accept Christ. Those who are the Lord's are always delivered out of temptation (2Pe 2:9)...

    A Word on 2Peter 2:20, 21

Yes, it’s a reiteration of truth “delivered” to two different types of peoples. 2P 1:1 is to those who “have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ.” 2Pe 2:1 are those who are “false teachers.” The prior are those who have “obtained...

    A Word on 2Peter 2:20, 21

Decided to share some commentary concerning “heresies” from “false teachers” (v 1): “Through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” I believe this phrase is the same as many other passages like Heb 10:26 – “receiving the knowledge of the truth” i.e. Gospel. I think if this intended...

    Measured Proximity

I always appreciate Scriptures! God bless!!

    Measured Proximity

He who measured my distance is the One who is the measure of my nearness! Many believers are in the shadows because they fail to abide (fellowship—NC) where He is; they are enlightened, but if they were near they would be established (encouraged—NC). When you are reconciled to the Father, you...

    Deliverance by Desire

The “law of sin” or, in other words, the principle and power of sin, is in its ability to cause the desire to sin; it’s in the desire to sin, and not in the sinning that the “old man” has its “dominion” in those yet to be reborn (Romans 6:14). Thus to eliminate the dominion of the old man or old...

    Unclaimed Blessings

Anyone can live in respect and kindness towards others. To do so is merely to put to use the natural abilities that all have in their earthly makeup of thoughts and feelings that are acceptable. Morality is generally related to the conduction of response between mortals; godliness is generally...
