that was actually one of the passages He completely uprooted my understanding of. The "Left Behind" series assumes the "left behind" are the wicked ones and the "taken" are righteous.....that passage actually says exactly the opposite....

Oseas, your understanding of Mathew 24, 38- 50 is very different than mine. In Noah's example (which Jesus is pointing to) the wicked were taken out by the flood...death, judgement. Noah, the righteous one, was left behind.

Death is the final enemy God will put under Jesus' feet...and Revelation 20 tells us when that will be....after the final judgment, after the millennial reign, just before the new heavens and earth are established.

Your last statement is proven flawed by Isaiah's description of the millennial reign. Lifespans will evidently expand to time periods similar to pre-flood spans, but death will remain. Those who survive the great tribulation will be like us....subject to physical death. Isaiah 65:20-25 NKJV —...

I used that "not appointed unto wrath" idea in my sermon too.....what I failed to realize at the time, was the possibility He can take us THROUGH something, without being under or affected by it.....which is in fact the case
