It's not a belief. It is God's Word revealed to us through His Prophets and Apostles.

This would be true if doctrine was only a matter of 'opinion'. True truths from God's Word would constitute doctrine and that is not just a matter of opinion. OTOH abusing/harassing each other should never happen even over true doctrine.
