    Not according to James 2:24-26 ... - "a man is justified by WORKS and NOT BY FAITH ALONE". In other words, works are necessary for justification - no justification, no salvation. - "faith without works is DEAD". The doctrine of "faith alone" is a recipe for DEAD FAITH.

    The claim that the earth is only about 6000 years old is unscientific nonsense and is based on a erroneous interpretation of Scripture. I believe Adam was created 6000-10000 years ago, but the earth and non-human life are much, much older than that. I'm not a Darwinist, btw.

    Hello Helen, thank you for your welcome. Re the verse you quoted, one must interpret it in light of other Scriptures. When that is done, it should be obvious that the verse should not be read literally. For example, the words "believe on the name of the Son of God" does not simply mean faith...

    This is a great post, Zachary. Justification can be lost due to deadly sins and/or loss f faith. Furthermore, no one is saved until Jesus judges us after we die and grants us eternal life in heaven. And as James 2:26 says, "faith without works is dead" - the false doctrine of "faith alone"...
