What if you lose your faith?

When Paul addresses a Church he is addressing Wheat and Tares. Some in the congregation were seeking but had not yet found. There are a few times in scripture when the author is addressing only the elect but this is rare. So to assume the fallen were saved is not really conclusive.

What if you lose your faith?

Well we truely work out our own salvation with fear and trembling... Being prodigal son makes it a lot easier to grasp how deep and wide the Love of God is...

What if you lose your faith?

Maybe we should differentiate between those who are deceived and drawn away and those who refuse what is being offered ??? Paul in Galations 5 is rebuking the believers for falling into Law but doesn't treat them as lost. We have to be careful also not to insist, that what God can do - He does...

What if you lose your faith?

Any one else prior to Abraham a candidate for salvation ???

What if you lose your faith?

Yes - Gal 3 talks of the seed rather than seeds so all our Grace comes through Christ Himself. However we rightly acknowledge the role Abraham played in the process and the title given of the Father of all who have faith. We also acknowledge the Prophets inspired by God to reveal what was to...

What if you lose your faith?

If Abraham is the Father of all who have faith and the salvation promises are from the Abrahamic Covenant, how do we view the salvation of those Pre Abraham ???

What if you lose your faith?

Abraham had faith in God and it was accepted by God as righteousness. Abraham believed that God would raise His son Isaac if he sacrificed him (he said, going up the mountain we will return) He was walking by faith not by sight. Now he didn't have full revelation of Jesus but had sufficient...

    Was this a false Christ???

So far so good... Now here is the rub... You will notice as part of her testimony that tongues simply poured out of her - she didn't ask for it - no one layed hands on her. So I welcome those who believe the gifts have ceased, to comment as their theology will have to conclude that she was...

What if you lose your faith?

First off thanks for being prepared to engage in a reasoned discussion. There are several reasons that point to this fact. First the aspect of being personally indwelled with God Himself is the unique aspect of this New Covenant, prophesied to come. Then there is the reference to the 'time of...

What if you lose your faith?

Paul spoke of two Israel's This promise is valid for both. For the Church it has come. For Israel as a people - yet to be fulfilled. Isaiah 11 which lists the seven spirits of God, confirms that the Spirit of the fear of the Lord is included with the spirit of Jesus and this is what...

    This really grabbed me today!

No they don't... You could equally say that God has a beginning from this statement... Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” But that also would be playing with words.

What if you lose your faith?

In the New Covenant the promise of the indwelling Christ was fulfilled.

    This really grabbed me today!

This verse is also rendered 'Source' rather than 'Beginning' As all things were made through Jesus this does not suggest Him being somehow seperate from the Godhead.

    Was this a false Christ???

Here is a powerful testimony. Please comment on if you think this is the real deal, or if this was a trick of Satan. Please give reasons. This is a muslim Doctor who is French speaking but the video has subtitles. Clearly if the opinions are evenly divided then 50% of the posters will...

    This really grabbed me today!

The reason for the Jerusalem Council was to settle the issue of whether the Gentiles were required to keep the Law. The answer was NO but the three requirements had the common consequence I outlined. The Jerusalem Council did not insist that the Gentiles be schooled in the Law.

Not all - immorality was not uncommon among the Jews. When Jesus said "He who is without sin cast the first stone..." this was telling.

These 'essentials' have a common thread. They all spiritually contaminate the 'inner person' and therefore seriously effect the fellowship as a whole.

    This really grabbed me today!

It seems to me that the way the Godhead works is way beyond our understanding. The terms Father and Son are terms that only partially convey what God is about. Sadly folks grab these approximations and make a theological rule with them ignoring the mystery of the Godhead and insisting that the...

Why do so many stumble over imputed righteousness?

Jude 24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 25 To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.
