I am going to give the dog a bone (which actually is an idiom) and help BOL out. I think Jay Ross touched on this... And of course BOL objected... But Mark 10:32 is not "day one". Between Mark 10:1 and 11:12 Jesus travelled front the Eastern side of the Jordan river While I disagree with...

Regardless... It does not prove its an idiom. You are taking context of a specific thing (and once again, it isn't even Biblical) and applying it across the board. Furthermore, you fail to acknowledge that not everyone agreed here. Did you catch 9:3K? [K] And thus has it been taught...

Well, let me start with this one first. It'll explain my answer to your first objection. BOL, he was talking about a woman's period and how long she was considered to be unclean. Here is a DIRECT quote from the Talmud Shabbat 9:3J: J] It has been taught: R. Eleazar b.Azariah says, "A day and...

Yes, TODAY. Today it's is referred to as a WRITTEN Aramaic translation. Today it is accepted, back then it wasn't. Back then it was forbidden. Now have you actually read what he wrote or are you cutting and pasting again? Haha! Yeah... Sure! Why don't you tell us all what he was referring...

Ok... I will allow you to concede. Too bad for me because even in the statement you copied the are so many problems and errors that it would've been fun to go through them. Well ok. Let's do it! "From targumim & Abraham In Ezra". How well do you understand that reference? I admit, I had...

Yea... You didn't even read it. In fact, you copied and pasted that response from another forum. Furthermore, the person you copied it from also copied and pasted it from another source. You really should research what you copy and paste a little bit. More on that later

I was a pretty funny typo I never made such claims, by the way. I simply challenged you to look at the gospels. They prove by themselves that a Friday crucificixion is false and nothing else the Apostles say changes that. No... I asked you for a name or to quote the footnote. I didn't...

    Who is your Apostle?

Yep. That's my point! Paul was indeed appointed to go to the gentiles, but I don We see no evidence it went East from the Bible. At best the North Eastern shores of Turkey. That is true.. But the Bible is silent on where 9 of the original 11 Apostles went. We wnow where Peter and John...

What we have to realize is that the Gospels never give a near exact time Jesus rose. All 4 gospels give a near exact time when it was discovered that he was no longer in the tomb. In other words, when it was discovered he was no longer in the tomb is NOT the same as when he left...

I see a major typo there!!! Least I hope so. I have quite a bit to say about what you wrote. For now, I will keep it short and easy: Really? Ok. Give me his name. Quote the footnote. Is this another rabbinic reference. Great! What's his name?

    Who is your Apostle?

Yep. That's my point! Paul was indeed appointed to go to the gentiles, but I donk know that the other apostles didn't.

By the way... You only gave 2 references in your post, yet you say you gave a total of 4? I see Rich Robinson and David Baron. 1+1=2. Being able to actually count to at least 3 is important for this topic. I'm just saying...

Well when you can produce evidence that the apostles taught that Jesus wascrucified on Friday and/or 3 days and 3 nights means anything else but 3 full days and 3 full night's, get back to me. Fine. So what? Can you show me anywhere that a fast wasn't 3 full days or nights when it was called...

    3d/3n is NOT an idiom!

Again, "a day" is an idiom or can be. A day and a night is not an idiom. That is what this Rabbi is saying. Your own statement is contradictory. If "any portion of a day counted as a day", then for the Hebrews a day was not "from sunset to sunset". From sunset to sunset is 24 hours.

    Who is your Apostle?

I have heard that Thomas went to India to preach and was martyred there. Don't know if it's true or not. But if it is, why do you suppose all those Hebrews in India killed him?

Well then rustle up two more and let's see what they have to say! While we are at it we can ask them if Jewish fasts that are called for 3 days and 3 nights can include partial days. That's what Ester called for. I don't think you are going to win that point. If you want to go to true...
