    The Positional Platform

Afishamongmany, Welcome to Scott's laundry-list method of having a 'discussion'. Here are some things that might help you understand his teachings in case you aren't already aware. I'm sure he will have something to say about how I am twisting his words (like he always does), but since his...

DARWIN's DOUBT - The End of Darwinistic Materialism

The Darwinian paradigm is unraveling in ways now that can't be ignored. Kudos to Metamorphosis. Highly recommended. In case you didn't know... the magnificent vocals therein were done by only 4 people - http://markedwardlewismusic.com/metamorphosis/files/Morning%20Flight.mp3

Is all of the law of Moses finished?

Oh yes, of course... The selective obedience of convenience... or shall I say, of unbelief. What do you mean by, 'We're subject to the morality set forth in the law, but not the "carnal ordinances." By saying morality, I assume you mean righteousness. How are we subject to something we have...

The Rise of Individualism in the Church: Both Liberal and Conservative

Good points. I didn't mean to imply that Christianity is only an individual pursuit. Inward growth and conquering of sin are entirely personal, but the functioning of each individual part can't help but be expressed to other parts of the body.

Is all of the law of Moses finished?

No Yeshua is not the scapegoat, and sin has not yet been "sent away into the wilderness". Christ will do the sending when the son of man emerges from the temple.

Is all of the law of Moses finished?

That's just foolishness, based on immaturity is my guess. You are exhibiting symptoms of what I call the idolatry of imagined obedience. The narrow door is remaining faithful to the doctrine of Christ, not walking a tightrope of imagined obedience based on experience. Jesus said that his yoke...

You need to define the bolded text. There is much too much equivocation going on.

    Signs

1st paragraph - right on 2nd paragraph - same 3rd paragraph - Interesting concept, but IMO impossible. Man has already known evil; that can't be undone. Nor should it be. The knowledge of evil is a great weapon against it. Jesus himself knew what was in the heart of man, and knew how to choose...

    The coming Jewish revival

Uh Eric... Jesus said verse 7 was fulfilled in his time. Why do you jump forward nearly 2000 years for verses 8-9?

Is all of the law of Moses finished?

Yes I like those words in their proper place: verse 4. What I don't like is verses added by copyists. Do some research; be less sanctimonious. NET Bible footnote The earliest and best witnesses of the Alexandrian and Western texts, as well as a few others (א* B D* F G 6 1506 1739 1881 pc co)...

    “Temporal Salvation?”

No, clearly FRUITS are evidence of whom one belongs to... Now the DEEDS of the flesh are apparent... But the FRUIT of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:19-23 Every tree is known by its own...

Is all of the law of Moses finished?

What if it had been worded like this: We have been exempted from judgment into condemnation? btw, the likelihood is great that the last 10 words of Romans 8:1 (as you displayed it) were added by copyists.

Is all of the law of Moses finished?

How does 'exempt from judgment to condemnation' become lasciviousness in your mind? It sounds like you are a lawless person who needs the constraints of external laws to avoid doing what is wrong. But we know that the law [is] good, if a man uses it lawfully knowing that the law is not made for...

Is all of the law of Moses finished?

With a change of the priesthood and covenant came a change in law. We are dead to the law of Moses, yet alive to the law of spirit of life in Christ. How can one who is dead keep law he is dead to? If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, for under it the people received the...

    The Positional Platform

He was dead in the father's eyes, not because the father didn't love and forgive him, but because his son was lost and separated from his fellowship; just as we become when we sin.
