    Advice for your pastor.

You would need to know not only your Shepherd but also know your sheep. Keep watch, be available. If you can't, is it because you are too busy, too selfish or is your fold too big?

Pope Makes Interesting Claim On Date Of Christ's Birth

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the...

Another Reason WHY God Is Turning His Back On The U.S.

Wow, I guess we are beyond Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. (Rom 1:27). But let's remember...

That's how I read Aspen. Convenience over life.

    God's choice For President

When the Anti-Christ steps on the world stage and begins slaughtering those who don't worship him, will you be saying the same thing? Would you have taken your same passive stance during the holocaust?

Proof that cessationism has been false doctrine for about 1700 years

I don't take my 'proof' from the Church Fathers as many have also espoused anti-semitism in somewhat subtle ways. But from Scripture I have problems with the cessationist view even though I lean heavily towards a dispensational approach.

10 Questions A Pro-Choice Candidate Is Never Asked.

    11. Do you believe Govt's responsibility is to protect innocent human life or aid in destroying it?

The Boy and the Mud Puddle

The story contains a faulty analogy. Not only does the Christian receive clean clothes but a new heart. If he dirtys his clothes he will be miserable. Our new nature will never have peace back in the pigpen though we may pay it a visit.

    Fearful Awe

Theologies of God's glory coupled with a social gospel do not move me. Where was Jesus Christ? His crucifixion, his bloody death for our sins? That's what stirs God's awe in my soul, placed against the black backdrop of our guilt and God's judgement. That's what moves me to tell/warn others.

    What is an Organic Church?!?

There is nothing wrong with a paid teacher as the laborer is worthy of his hire. And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.(Luk 10:7) Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double...

    Judgment...

*Of course we continually make judgements, that's how decisions are formed. *It is the duty of the Church to pass judgment (hopefully with an eye on repentance) on the erring believer. *For the unbeliever, he is already judged as guilty and in bondage to sin...ours is to tell him of the Deliverer.

    Judgment...

Perhaps some of us don't want to go the ecumenical route which ends up compromising truth for the sake of unity. I will agree though what is wrong is personal attacks rather than doctrinal or ecclesiastical..

    The Jonah Syndrome

I was referring to this...Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. (1Pe 3:20) It would have to included Ham since his posterity is mentioned after the...

    Good Friday/Passover why different days?

I think the point of the first and last refs were to state that in comparison to Yeshua the feasts etc. were but shadows. As Messianic believers it's one thing to regard or disregard a Feast Day and another to deliberately change a date out of disdain for the Jews. One man esteemeth one day...

    Good Friday/Passover why different days?

Actually the purpose of the OP was to show that the early Church was already involved in disdain for the Jews avoided celebrating the death of Christ on what you would think would be the natural choice...Passover. Good Friday/Passover why different days?

    Good Friday/Passover why different days?

In the following quotes from Dipose's book "The Origins and Effects of Replacement Theology", he seems to reveal the basic reason why Good Friday does not end up on Passover each year. The usual explanation is that the Gregorian calendar runs different than the Jewish lunar calendar but this...
