    @Marymog i also remember an account in Galatians where Paul had to correct Peter about 20 years after Paul’s conversion. You probably remember the incident where Pete was afraid of how the Jewish men would view him if he sat with Gentiles.

    Paul received meat directly from Christ. the Gospel he received didn’t come from a succession of men.

    I really like Paul. I believe as Jesus was the image of the invisible God, Paul was the image of the resurrected Christ.

    Well, Paul in Hebrews says that the vail rent was the flesh of Christ, and Jesus referred to his body as the temple. I see @Marymog likes your response so I’ll take that as a confirmation Thanks!

    One thing I’ve always wanted to know is this concept of the thick literal curtain in the temple of Jerusalem being split in to at the crucifixion of Christ. Is this something that was born out of Catholic doctrine?

    Precisely, most will contend that a literal curtain in a stone building was rent. Paul is clearly stating the vail rent was the flesh of the temple Christ. It’s the way in.
