Mocking, treating with scorn, ridiculing, scoffing

While some may take this to mean the whole planet, I do believe this would be more of the lands which Israel had settled in. You may have a different take on the passage as a whole. Myself, again it suggests that mocking leads to bondage, which can become stronger over time. The mocking of the...

Mocking, treating with scorn, ridiculing, scoffing

This reminds me of what Jesus states to the Pharisees of his time.

Mocking, treating with scorn, ridiculing, scoffing

See here, that there is some type of bondage going which is suffered.

Mocking, treating with scorn, ridiculing, scoffing

I could be wrong about anything I write about, however it seems to me that mocking leads to spiritual bondage. Where looking and seeking faithfully towards God and his Son whom makes us right with God, because of his righteousness, those whom seek faithfully are rewarded spiritually.

Wineskins? And Why Old and New do not Mix.

Im not familiar with paradigms personally. I do believe what Jesus said though.

Wineskins? And Why Old and New do not Mix.

Founded in Colossians 2:14 having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of legal demands [which were in force] against us and which were hostile to us. And this certificate He has set aside and completely removed by nailing it to the cross. This was wrote by the Apostle Paul, also...

Wineskins? And Why Old and New do not Mix.

I could be wrong, but I do know that they were living in the last days. Peter proclaimed in Acts 2, of the Prophet Joel, and in Hebrews it mentions the last days that they were in, and I believe the Mosaic age completely ended at the white throne judgement wrapping of the entire age and being...

Wineskins? And Why Old and New do not Mix.

Hey Soy, I figured his new covenant was established when the new Heaven and new earth had came which is spiritual by nature. That’s the way I take it.

The world has been “made right” in front of God.

Life is full of choices. Just like Adam and Eve had a choice in the Garden.

Wineskins? And Why Old and New do not Mix.

Thank you for sharing, rocker. While some believe we live in the age of grace, I’m someone who believes we live in the age of fulfillment. However one’s view point may be, we are fulfilled in Christ whom by his righteousness, wisdom, holiness and redemption helps us by his spirit, the spirit of...

Mocking, treating with scorn, ridiculing, scoffing

Job, reproaching his pitiless friends (Job 16) Job reproved his friends for their lack of mercy; 17 he asserts in innocence. Mocking is unhealthy, I believe Job is saying here. Stating he could respond in similar manner, but chooses not to do so.

Mocking, treating with scorn, ridiculing, scoffing

Samson untruthful, three times (I think) like Peter denied Jesus three times. Finally Samson does reveal the truth, as his soul was vexed to death.

Mocking, treating with scorn, ridiculing, scoffing

These are some general references to mocking. What’s interesting is the first seen was with Sarah and Hagar. What’s is fascinating is that God made Hagar, the Egyptian woman whom bore a son for Abraham, was blessed by God to have a great nation founded in Genesis 21:9, (Galatians 4:21-30)...

Doctrine doesn’t matter as much as love

Jesus is the center of focus, everything he said and taught. Not everything was to us directly. I've went through the Gospels enough to understand this, as well as the letters in the New Testament. I don't understand, why people are not able to love others, but that seems to just be a preference...

Doctrine doesn’t matter as much as love

Hello @Hobie, I could simply ask you the same question. I'll answer you this way however, Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 1 John 4:20 If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow...

    Corrupt Priest(s)

In the end, this corrupted generation that continue forward since the day and age of Yeshua, and his death, and resurrection. Still saw themselves as the high standard, as correct. They looked to men, and they did not look to God, nor did they listen to Yahavahs Word, and put him to death. Whom...

    Corrupt Priest(s)

Again, a testimony of the chief priest and officers not desiring the Word of Yahavah, in Jesus the Messiah. They worshiped the law, and they did not love their neighbor as theirself.

Doctrine doesn’t matter as much as love

Faith and love are what we operate by as believers in the Lord Yeshua. God made this world, and sees it as beautiful. He has restored it spiritually under a new administration no longer under the Mosaic law, and now people have freedom to choose whatever they want to do in their life. Looking...

DOES NO ONE WANT TO BE CORRECTED?

Hello @quietthinker, while many people believe that Jesus is still coming back. There are many people out there that rarely read the bible itself, they don't consider what is being said in there, and sometimes it is simply because they don't care. That is okay though. All the people at my work...

DOES NO ONE WANT TO BE CORRECTED?

Before Jesus had really come as soon as promised in Johns written Revelation. Paul is simply correcting on them, the people in Thessalonika, not to believe on anyone whom has said he had come then in their time, which he is writing. That is how I take it personally... because when you continue...
