Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Ok, that’s really all I’m trying to get at. I’m just interested in how Premils are dealing with this. I’ll put you down as Jesus not uttering any new words during the millennium. I’m not trying to prove anything. This is what I said in the OP “I’m not trying to debate anything, I’m just curious...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Alright, what about Jesus adding to the canon during the millennium? What is your position on that?

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Since this thread is about a Premil millennium I guess that means the Premil view is also conjecture and guessing so wondering about the Premil millennium is all really a waste of time. Ok, got it.

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Ok, but then God didn’t permanently close the canon if it’s possible that it can be added to in the millennium, it was a temporal closure.

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

I didn’t say Jesus would reign on earth for more than 1,000 years. I just said an extra 7,000 years of time could be added in between the millennium and Satan’s little season. It seems to me you are working very hard to come up with reasons as to why that can’t be but once you allow that type...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Right, and I agree with that. If there is a gap in the 70 weeks and it “operated and functioned within the Word of God that has already been spoken” then it would also be possible for 7,000 years to take place after the millennium, before Satan’s little season and it “operates and functions...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

I agree, I don’t personally think there is a future millennial reign on earth, but I’m entertaining that idea for now to examine all the details of the idea that Christ will add to the Bible during a Premil millennium. Also, those that think Christ will come and reign in a future millennium...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Most people consider the Bible, as a whole, the infallible word of God. Obviously the books in the Bible were written by different individuals but I think most Christians consider all of it the Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

I don’t know of any Premil’s that have all 70 weeks being continuous with no gap. I would think adding in the times of the Gentiles in between the 69th and 70th week would’ve qualified as adding something new when Paul wrote his epistles. Do you think there is a gap in the 70 weeks in Daniel 9...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Ok, I take it as your answer is, yes, it is possible to have a 1 Jesus 4:18. I can also see where a person can put forth an argument about if one of Paul’s lost epistles to the Corinthians were found, would it be added to the canon? No easy answer but definitely debatable .

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Ok, thanks for that response. I’m not Premil and I think the Bible is complete, but I can see why a Premil might say it will be added to in the millennium. As I stated in the OP, I’m not personally trying to debate this, but I’m sure others will as this is a controversial thing. To be clear...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

I agree, but doesn’t that also mean that God couldn’t have added any time in between week 69 and week 70 in Daniel 9?
  13. G

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Yes, I agree. Although I think many Premils will include verses such as Zechariah 14:18 as a rod of iron rule that we currently aren’t judged for but people in the Premil millennium will be judged for. Zechariah 14:18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Ok, fair enough. If Christ doesn’t add anything new then we should be able to come up the rod of iron rules based solely on what the scriptures say. Where in the Bible would you say those rules are? The Ten Commandments?

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Sure, I’m not implying that Jesus will go against what has already been written. But where does it say He couldn’t add in something that would still keep all the other words already spoken true? For instance why couldn’t Christ add in an extra 7,000 years in between the millennium and Satan’s...

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Ok, so are you of the opinion that Christ will only say what’s already been written during the millennium, and no new utterances will be made?
  17. G

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

Well, I’m not worried but it just seemed strange to me that the Premil position would allow, and seemingly require that the cannon not be complete.

Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

I had a conversation with a Premil friend of mine about how he can be sure the millennium hasn’t already occurred. In a nutshell, he said that during the millennium Christ will be ruling and His words during that time will be recorded and His words will not pass away. Since we currently don’t...

In the book of Revelation it mentions 'a little season' twice.

I did read the whole post. Let’s look at Eve, prior to her deception. If we equate that condition to the millennium then there would have to be no knowledge of good and evil during the millennium. That simply can’t be since Jesus said “my words will never pass away” and His word contains...
