    Can a tare become saved?

Yes, the tares were sown in His field, and in the church is where contending for faith occurs. The field is said to be the world in Matthew 13:38. The field is<2076> the world. The word “is” is defined as is, it is, there is and has the meaning of are, belong, call, come, consist. To me it looks...

    Can a tare become saved?

Right, we should be able to see that it’s Biblical to excommunicate a person and we should also be able to see that a tare has to be allowed to grow together with the wheat until the harvest and not removed at anytime soon than the harvest. Logically we should be able to conclude that a tare...

    Can a tare become saved?

The problem is you are associating the tares with all the unsaved. All the unsaved include people who are Nazis, KKK, terrorist, serial killers, and so on. We are told to allow the tares to grow together <4885> to grow together, to increase together until the harvest. I can understand if you...

    Can a tare become saved?

Well WWII was fought and I would think a Christian would agree that Hitler should’ve been stopped. Do you think WWII was a mistake and we should’ve just let Hitler continue on?

    Can a tare become saved?

I don’t want to open up this can of worms again but don’t forget that if the tares represent all the unsaved then someone like Hitler should’ve been allowed to grow together with the wheat.

    Can a tare become saved?

I think a major difference between us is that I see the end of the age referring to when the old covenant vanished (not when it became invalid) and you see it as the end of this current heaven and earth.

    Can a tare become saved?

Sure, but a person that God knows ahead of time that won’t repent is what the parable is about and those people are the tares, else they wouldn’t have been named as tares and wheat in the first place.

    Can a tare become saved?

Well yea, God knows who will and who won’t become saved before they are born. The parable is written from God’s perspective which is why He says specifically tares and wheat are sown. If the parable said seed in general were sown then you might have a point as to what the plants might be at...

    Can a tare become saved?

The tares get burned and the wheat is put in the barn. That’s what happens. No where is it even implied that the tares somehow turn into wheat.

    Can a tare become saved?

Right, and not only that, why were the servants wanting to pull the tares in the first place if they thought they might change into wheat. The servants should’ve said “wow, isn’t this great, somebody sowed some more seeds and it could give us more wheat”

    Can a tare become saved?

But that’s a major point, a tare can’t be excommunicated, a tare has to be allowed to grow together with the wheat. A person that qualifies for excommunication can’t be a tare by definition.

    Can a tare become saved?

I don’t want to keep going around in circles on this either, so let me ask you this… If church(A) interprets the parable of the tares as rule that their church(A) should allow people who they know are tares to grow along side the wheat, wouldn’t that church(A) be vastly different than a...

    Can a tare become saved?

Interesting idea, another thing might be to consider where the tare seeds come from in the first place. Does Satan have his own field where he grows tares to harvest the seeds and then plant those seeds in His (Jesus’) field?

    Can a tare become saved?

Well tares aren’t saved, right? They are thrown into the fire. I agree that from our perspective we don’t know who will or won’t be saved. I was lost and then became saved, but I don’t consider myself as a tare prior to becoming saved. I was a lost sheep but I wasn’t a goat.
  15. G

    Can a tare become saved?

Yes, I agree. There seems to be quite a few people that simply want to say a tare can become wheat, because a tare represents all the lost, even though that contradicts the reality that a tare plant can’t become a wheat plant and this parable would then be the only parable based on an untrue...

    Can a tare become saved?

Or we could say people were entering the kingdom by way of the old covenant prior to the cross then after the cross only those born of water and Spirit could enter the kingdom. The kingdom was then purged of those tares who tried to remain under the old covenant, that removal happened some time...

    Can a tare become saved?

Ok, that’s reasonable but then in Matthew 21:43 it says Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. The chief priest and Pharisees knew this was referring to them, the same people that are told they are of their...

The Jerusalem which is above is the heavenly city of promise which God has prepared for His saints

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. It’s very difficult to know what exactly it’s going to be like and we can speculate but we do know heaven and...

    Can a tare become saved?

I’m not so sure I would agree with that. A believer is in the world physically but not of it spiritually. A tare can’t really be in the kingdom spiritually but not of it. Do you have any verses that might help explain how a tare can be in the kingdom of God?

The Jerusalem which is above is the heavenly city of promise which God has prepared for His saints

I have no issues with what you’re saying except the phrase “This current earth will be regenerated when He comes”. If the elements (hydrogen, oxygen, …) melt then there is nothing physically left of this earth. It’s possible that Jesus created an entirely new universe, outside of our current...
