    Resurrection

You misunderstand greatly. Jesus came preaching to "turn around" because the world and men were on a course with death--"passing away." He did not come to save this world and men of flesh by transforming everything and everyone into some higher glorified flesh--but to rescue us from it. We were...

    Resurrection

Is that what you believe--that God who is "perfectly" "spirit", who "taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men" actually came to create not a hybrid, but a lowbrid species of men--higher than mortal men, but lower than God--God who is "higher", "perfect", and "spirit?"...

Why does mainstream Christianity believe that it's "unorthodox" to teach that Jesus will unite ALL things to himself?

Are you God then, that you decide what is genuine? No, but I am sent by Him, and you reject me and presume to judge. That will be all.

Why does mainstream Christianity believe that it's "unorthodox" to teach that Jesus will unite ALL things to himself?

Good question--good of you to ask! Let's break it down. Here is a good representation of the original language. You can click on any of the links for proper definitions: he might gather together in one G346 all things G3956 in G1722 Christ, G5547 both G5037 which G3588 are in G1722 heaven...

Why does mainstream Christianity believe that it's "unorthodox" to teach that Jesus will unite ALL things to himself?

You are asking (attempting to force) the wrong question. The answer, however, is that He did (past tense) unite all things on the cross--which included dissolving much of what you have referred to--defeating even death, which is to say the flesh, that unlike the spirit, is the form having...

Why does mainstream Christianity believe that it's "unorthodox" to teach that Jesus will unite ALL things to himself?

But "all things" also includes "the darkness"--which changes the meaning of Ephesians 1:10 to include "dividing" "the light from the darkness" and the "dissolve" of all the elements with fire.

    Spiritual Maturity

But you are still missing the distinction. Paul's words to Timothy were regarding "a worker" building upon the foundation according to that foundation through study to know what the true foundation is. But that is not the call of every Christian or a requirement of every "Christian life."

    Resurrection

Completely wrong. Is God who "is spirit" "platonic", "empty", "in the nihilism of death?" Is God who "is perfect" "a myth of immortality", or made up of "every atom of creation?" Are you so foolish? Perhaps, but you have completely misunderstood Paul's explanation--even omitting "there is a...

    Resurrection

True enough, but that doesn't really track with or address why I first posted a reply to your Original Post.

    PASTORS: Worship Music...Oh PLEASE!

Music does have a way of lifting ones spirit, changing a mood, etc...but I totally get your point. Interesting to consider in terms of a measure of faith. Hmmm.

    PASTORS: Worship Music...Oh PLEASE!

HIGHER VOLUME does not make for better worship. It makes it worse. Please allow me to explain: Worship leaders and teams have been pumping up the volume like we are frogs in a pot of water on the stove...and many have crossed a line. That line is the difference between music and worship as a...

    Resurrection

True, but some to one task and purpose, and some to other types of support. Having to correct you is either correct on my part or false, and likewise on your part. In this way the eye is not the leg, or the nose, etc. (which you did not convey fully in your reply). The problem in your Original...

    Resurrection

Why should anyone read any further? In the first paragraph and again in the second paragraph, you are in need of biblical "correction." "Immediately after they die" the New Testament says--Jesus says--"today you will be with Me in Paradise.” Very clearly! But it is your "find life after life...

Parents detained by ICE reunite with son in Mexico the day before he dies with cancer ;(

Yeah, the parents should have never tried to illegally enter the US. Bad choice. They should have marched right to the border and begged for mercy and medical attention.

    How to fast, simply put?

You have a lot of ground to cover--which doesn't make any of what I have said "word salad", it simply means it has not yet been revealed to you. But I have written books on it--free on kindle unlimited, otherwise $1.99. Here, I am just stating what is true with explanations that fit this forum...

    Funny parrot

Hahaha! I have a policeman friend who had a cocatu, and when he would come home from work and be putting away his pistol he would look at the cocatu and say things like "Stickem up! or "Reach for the sky!" and the cocatu became like a watchdog and say those things anytime someone entered the...

Why do many Christians shun fellowship with fellow Christians?

Yeah, that's strange...unless you have a reputation that precedes you and they don't want to get you started? :Broadly:

Why do many Christians shun fellowship with fellow Christians?

It's just kinda like politics, and many are leery of the possible conflicts that can arise. For many It's easier to not go there...and just remain friends. But there are other real dangers too, and having a defense for such can be a good instinct. If people would or could limit interaction with...
